sweet! I dig that hardware cause it is fuggin light! I have killed myself for far too long hauling this heavy @ss double braced chit! The local drum shop is having a huge sale this weekend... I was going to look at some single braced stuff, I think the 6000 series may still be more than I wanna spend right now!Order is in, waiting to get a confirmation when it will ship.
I got a mix of stuff to make a few different configurations.
18x24 kick
16x20 kick
11x14 rack
14x16 floor
16x18 floor
Plus a DW 600 series hardware pack (the "retro" stuff)

You'd think it would work, but on drums the distance between pedals is much greater than on a bike. Wider seat = more stability.this:
He's more like that guy from the Romantics. Is your drum style really reminiscent of Nick Mason? Because I read that on the intraweb.
He's more like that guy from the Romantics.
He played left handed on a right hand kit. I fail to see the comparison.
That's what I like about you.Look, I don't know all of the percussionspeak...

A Flight saddle would mean instant, intense taint pain.
So what you're saying is that you need a womans saddle for your wide hips and ass.Wider seat = more stability.

Worse. This thing would be comfortable for a 350lb biker chick. So what you're saying is that you need a womans saddle for your wide hips and ass.
Nope.I think I see a stuffed baboon toy in that last pic. Nice to see I have some fans out there.
No and yes and both. It's been a long while since I've been into kit set ups - is it common to have two different kick sizes? Or is this so you can have a couple different single bass set-ups?
It's black nickel over brass. It sounds really good, much more depth and "balls" than I though a metal snare would have.Snare is gorgeous
I didn't end up with the retro style ones. I went for stability and weight. The retro ones don't go high enough.it's been a while (25 years) since I messed around with drum kits but how are those stands 'retro'?
what is the modern style?
nice!I did get another "retro" style bass drum cymbal arm though. Best thing ever, I hate boom stands.
DW makes an updated version, way more beefy than the old school ones.
I have one installed on my custom kit. Perfect cymbal placement every time.
Yes, the new kit will allow me different versions of this setup. (small, smaller, very small, etc)nice!
that right there is all the drum kit anyone really needs anyway.
That's not a factory option, I have to do that after it's shipped.I can't believe you didn't paint it with the blood of your enemies...
That's a pretty good excuse. That's not a factory option, I have to do that after it's shipped.
I played with my son yesterday instead of slaughtering enemies, so my paint bucket is dry.
They're a little too "easy listening" for my tastes, but whatever.Got a clip of you playing them? I love the drums, too bad I can't play them worth a damn.
