Fabien is 43rd in timed practice. He must of had a mechanical or crash... I knew that Mick has been talking about this race but I wonder why he waited until this one to get up there with top three. maybe this track suits him better than any other WC this season.
I'm pretty sure that he hasn't been waiting. He tries harder than any other rider out there. Watching him practice at Bromont and MSA made you think that he was on his race run every time.
Maybe he wanted a World Championship title (and on home turf no less)?
Mick has already been crowned the world champion of time practice and qualifiers for the last 8 years.

Sam sat down in the pedaling section at the end.
Fabien pulled over for about 30 secs I was told. Rennie pulled off course with a hand injury (from practice this morning) and rolled the start to be able to race tomorrow. He is off to get it looked at. Needles did the same thing. He was riding with tape on it this morning, but was mega bandaged up at dinner last night.
Gwin went down hard in triple threat in his timed run and is limping around with the team USA doctor. Not a good sign for America's hope.

even though we cannot see the whole course, would it ever occur to people that this was just a timed practice, and not ever run has to be flat out in the pedalling.
