I also had a crap sleep, so no ride after work.
Work was good though, got to weld, fix some computer controlled sled thing, look at hydraulics and play find the engine number, I hate that game.

managed to wake up early and get some time on the trainer. Half the challenge is physically getting out of bed to get things done, riding is almost less difficult than just getting up. Slept great too!

Started watching "All quiet on the Western Front". That was a mistake, I want to see the rest.

'Morning! Hot tub is installed and filled but won't turn on. :doh:So, the electrician is here again this morning checking it out, and we'll call the store when it opens at 10. I'll head for a run as soon as I get some coffee in me.

Here. Busy day.

Getting data logger installed on the kart today, maybe doing the brake bleed. Wifey told me that she wants me to have the kart serviced for anything that I'm not 100% about. That was my intention for the engine anyways, but good to hear that she's on board for that. Now I just need to get her on board with letting me use the Pilot to transport it. I can only borrow the truck for so long and renting a trailer will get expensive.

Morning Monkeys.

So after I ordered the dozen boards, the wife got on me about not having lids, so I was able to score 40 skate lids for $8.38 each shipped. That's like $22 cheaper than Walmart. 10 small white, 20 medium black, and 10 large blue. Should be a good start and at that price, getting more is only a matter of time.

It's crazy how this endeavor has lifted my spirit while lightening my wallet.

The Harbor Freight fold up trailer is awesome. I haven't used mine in a while but it was perfect to fit the big and little quad. Folded up it fits against the wall nicely. I got the one with bigger wheels.

In hell. Welcome!
Eyt ay em call with a Chinese team today, ugh. Weather's looking fantastic for the next couple of days so if I am not testing positive for covid tomorrow, I want to go to Thunder this weekend. Alas, le wife wants me to rake leaves and winterize the yard instead. Let's see if I can come up with a creative plan to make everyone happy.

It's still funny to me really. I was sweating spending $120 to finish my street board, now I've dropped about $700, but that money goes WAY farther and it's not like I'm broke, I just have les stupid money for a little while.

The wife called me a sneaky fucker (buying my street board) to start off with and now feels guilty for it. Win/win.

Landscaper (or high school kid at $15/hr) does your yard while you ride Thunder. Everyone wins!

don't be so sure.... Having done both, I think I'd rather the latter... though I suppose it depends on the Dr. the cute young intern in Paris wasn't half bad!

as for me, I'm solo parenting from now till Sunday night. it's glorious and sunny. work isn't overly busy. going to try to get out for a ride at lunch. especially since i might be home "schooling" the kids tomorrow since the government refuses to bargain in good faith the school staff...

Graybird skies have given way to rain. Was hoping to sneak a ride in, but it appears the weatherman person might be right about the forecast. Looks like a few inches has accumulated up at the ski hill, we'll take anything we can get up there. They run things like 70s porno bush... au naturel.

Daily highs have dropped something like 30 degrees in just a few weeks. We’ve officially skipped Fall, and now I desperately need some new cold weather riding gear.
After record got October, we got basically 2 weeks of "fall" and now it's winter, yay.

Kart inside Pilot is a great way to ruin the interior and have it smell like rubber, gas, and oil forever

Let's just say that I guarantee I'll get it out for a rip before @stoney gets a first ride on his... and I don't even have mine yet.
You know, I never followed up on this. I have a couple rides on my new bike, and I'm pretty damn certain @stoney never did ride his even once, though he did consider my challenge prior to deciding to just sell the dang thing. Anycrap, new bike! It’s taking a bit to get it dialed, but this thing rips. Seems to have 95% of the descending capabilities of my old bike but is a touch lighter, climbs better, more agile, and is generally “less” bike in all the ways I was hoping it to be.
