I will admit I have been to a kiddie punk concert. It was only semi kiddie b/c it was Story of the Year. My friends talked me into it. The clincher was that more girls would show off their assets at this type of concert than any metal concert I have been to. He was right and the quality of women was far superior. The only good thing about kiddie punk. High school girls showing their boobs to everyone at the shows and that is it.

Werd- back in my day Heavy Metal was the absolute antithesis to Punk or so we thought. Dirtheads and Punks would streetfight all the time. Then Motorhead showed us the common ground and punx got dumber and metalheads got smarter. Then it became superpunk to grow your hair and
have a Venom backpatch, showing that you were more punk by being metal-postpunk than the punx in the Punk Uniform. The pentagram shared canvas with the circle-A, and Jim Croce does rule a bit, actually.

i'm gonna see the delgados in a week and Crooked Fingers (ex-AOL front guy eric bachmann's new group) are opening. mebbe i'll check 'em out. but opening bands have been HORRIBLE for me lately...i think the last decent opener aside from 6 organs the other night was asian dub foundation (opening for radiohead)

Longview got old real fast, as did When I Come Around. Dookie was possibly their best cd (haven't heard those on Lookout!, though). American Idiot is a good album, in my opinion. i would looooooove to see them play it live.
