I have never had that brand. I use Chorizo like Salami. I get mine in Toronto at the St Lawrence market. Its made in Spain. It is very good.@jdcamb Now that I can eat small quantities of pork more frequently, I need to find some good Spanish Chorizo.

Bet its not a patch on my ex-wifes mothers. Portuguese from the Azores. I seriously miss her cooking.
It is amazing how different combinations of salt, garlic, wine, and pimenta can taste.
I made kilos of the stuff with a couple of grandmothers who don't speak english, and me - no portuguese.
In came large pig parts - broken down, diced, spiced, stuffed and then smoked in the back-yard.
Made mucho ground pinemta as well
Much wine consumed in teh process.
Damn tasty stuff.
Maybe I should go say hi

This pic is from the 70's. What is the signifacance of it to you?
I have a thing for abandoned gas stations and bridges and i like the composition and colours.
Is it jacked up like that in case you need to do some Dukes Of Hazard style jumps?
