The inherit nature of vibes implies a plurality and therefore a binary system can not accurately represent them.
It would seem that vibes is a general term for cycles, and therefore frequency would be the natural unit. I would propose this is best represented by the Laplacian in the frequency domain which would imply that vibes could be represented not only in the positive and negative quadrants, but also in the real vs imaginary.
