Took the kid his Subway sammich for lunch and they couldn't find him at recess (where he should have been), the Green Team meeting (the other place he should have been), or his classroom (where he was, but the radios weren't working on the other end). He ends up getting escorted in so I can meet his teacher--I like her, she took advantage of the opportunity to point out that he was in the classroom for being too chatty. He's fairly well known for finding trouble inadvertently, so this was a chance to put him in front of Mom, the school counselor, the vice principal and the teacher all at once for a little behavioral refresher. We all got a good chuckle out of it--even the kiddo! Good thing it's his birthday! Now he's home and we're waiting for Dad to come home and party down like 11 year olds with pizza and video games! Woo!

Well, it is October... so it could rain.
I need another month of sun.
My watch just synced up with my phone and updated my Strava from Sunday. With the new bike setup, bad arm pump, and a fork that really needs setting up, I got PR's on almost every segment of the hill and only didn't hit an overall PR because I had to take breaks for the arm pump.
Sweet crap the new setup is fast. None of this 'It's the rider not the bike bullshit'. I'm more out of shape and haven't ridden in months; the bike is just that much more dialed.
