In my downhill period I did all the basic maintenance to my forks myself. I now started XC'ing again, so I also wanted to do it to my Durin.
I read in the service manual that I should use magura suspension blood Type 5 for lubrication in the lower legs...
Nice socom I also have one and really like mine, but
36 lbs with 2ply intense tyres and without ti spring and the moto V2 brakes... I only get 37.2lbs with maxxis 2ply, ti spring and juicy carbons...
Do you have a full spec list and was it weighted using a bathroom scale or digi hang scale ;)
Like Udi said. Get the hones with the 2 rings and the bashguard they have the pedal inserts and the chromo spindle. The 3 ring Hones DON'T have this.
I'm about 160lbs and been running my hones in 2007. I hit my crank once on a rock and they are still straight.
If you need a 73mm setup I...
Thx, yeah i know about the pedals, but these are going strong for like 5 years or so. Only had to replace one bearing and I really like them, so why replace them ;)
It rides very well, pedals like a dream and it's 2.5kg lighter then my old bike , it's so easy to trow around.
I chose 2ply tyres because on some tracks overhere you have some pretty big rocks:)
And I did get the 2.35 2ply's at chainreaction, can't you get those in the us?
I also...
After sitting 4 months on my lazy ass in the afghani desert, a man can give himself a little present...
Some parts from my dhr, some brand new... Oh and it pedals like a rocket :)
And yes I know my lg1 isn't in the 12'o clock position, but I dremeled the hell out off it so I could rotate...
I going to buy a Ti spring for my SOCOM so I want to know it for sure.
According to Intense I need a 400lbs spring to get 30-35% sag with my weight of 75kg-165lbs (with gear)
Now I used the push industries sag chart to calculate my correct amount of sag...
I'm also having my rear abbah bearings replaced and this is what I got from sun:
Thanks for the email!!! Sounds like your bearings have worn. All your going to need is a 17mm cone wrench and something to hold the inner axel from spinning (park spanner wrench works well) take the drive side...
Hey,
I bought 06 juicy carbons, but I read alot about the red star knobs breaking off because of crashes.
I haven't seen my juicy carbons yet(still in afghanistan for 1 week) but I heard from Yeti that on the old juicy 7's that you can switch the red star on the bottom side of the lever...
hehe, my bad, just saw my mistake:poster_oops: , you know me always care more about the women then my bike...
I know i've been away for too long. Preparations to go to afghanistan, then now at the moment in afghanistan. But i'll be back in the beginning of july and I will be back better then...
I can maybe get an 400lbsx2.8 tit spring for my 3.0stroke dhx.
But will it fit
I already looked a bit with the search function and I found this
