I have watched alot of Whistler trails get dumbed down over the past 2 seasons, with the goal to cater for more blue level riders, to get people more into the sport.
While they have been doing this, other resorts have been kicking serious ass...
My friend rode the ADD wheelset all season at Whistler. I think she did close to 400 laps by the time the season was out. As we were pushing the hill tonight, I was actually just talking to her about them, and she said they are still true, and the only blemish is 2 broken spokes. Besides...
There awesome. Been running a set for 3 months in Whistler. Plenty of power, and the modulation is better than the Mag's. One finger braking is easier.
Atomlab or Azonic.
I use an Azonic one, and have never had any problems with it. Atomlab ones are hard to get a hold of. They always seem to be out of stock.
I rode a 2008 Aline and Shore at the product release in Whistler. Im 6'4 and the M/L Aline was way to small.
The Shore on the other hand was extremely dope. Felt a tad beefier than my sx trail.
One of Norco's big things for this year was dropping weight off frames.
