News just showed a live shot of one of the subdivisions - total inferno. Reporter said it's going through homes within a few minutes each.

I just watched on live TV, a house catch on fire and then be engulfed, catching the next house in a matter of minutes.

It's hard to believe!

Holy shit. 600 homes, one huge shopping complex, and one huge hotel. Still moving quickly.

Fuck. This makes the Springs fire a few years ago look like a drop in the bucket.

As someone who works in climate science this is pretty hard to watch. We’re at ~0.8 – 1°C warming right now. We’re on track to breeze past 1.5 to probably about 2.4°C this century. The cascade effects are already happening. Soon places like these are going to be uninsurable.
Time to stop burning shit, my dudes. I wonder what’s it gonna take to wake people up?

One of the hospitals is in process of being evacuated
You know which one? We have a few hospitals in that area, Longs Peak likely the closest? Broomfield is ours, too, but we don't read the cases from there any more--got underbid.

One of my co-workers took off a bit before 4 to check on his belongings and make a quick exit if necessary. He lives up that way...

edit: Looks like Broomfield Hospital

Our homeowner's and auto went up 100% and 50% correspondingly over the last 2 years. Both due to weather related claims.

I've been "off" since last Friday and today I officially forgot which day of the week it was. Thought it was Wednesday. Derp.

Brother just sent this pic from Brighton

Said that thermal imaging and radio traffic are "grim".

Yikes.......
That looks like a scene out of Interstellar.

That sucks to hear about. Hopefully it gets stopped.
