fuck. so sorry CO monkies.

16yo got boosted today.

out to dinner with friends. they got a message during dinner that both of the guy's elderly parents got covid. kinda put a damper on a fun evening.

ongoing crap with my own parents. dad's killing himself trying to take care of alzheimers-y mom. they need help. he was in ER for shortness of breath day after xmas. no covid, but got right lung drained yesterday; the left one scheduled for later this month.

break in the rain tomorrow. gonna get out on the bike in the woods.

times are weird, yo.

In the bathroom, fighting a battle
My family in Co appears to be clear if the fire for the moment, seemed weird checking on them while it was pouring outside. Usually they’re checking on us while it snows and our shits all on fire.

15 minutes into Boba Fett and the power went out. Naturally I bonked the generator a couple days ago with my welding table and ripped the fuel line, so using that’s out, and the rain cleared so it’s actually cold. May have to bail out to the trailer for the evening.

Ca’s superior power grid strikes again!

Now calling it most destructive fire in CO history.

In 7 hours.
Let's go through the last few years:
- 3 of 4 largest fires ever in last 2 years.
- Most destructive fire ever, in 7 hours.
- Driest winter, ever.
- Longest gap between snowfalls, ever.
- Latest snowfall, ever.
- Warmest back half of year, ever.
- 100% of CO is currently in drought.

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Glad that you do your part to avoid that and picked up a new hobby that consumes fossile fuels (karting) and worship overpowered cars. ;)

They're doing indoor karting. Fairly certain they are electric karts. Not a lot of indoor places run gas karts indoors due the the exhaust, at least not around here.

I see. Here karts are still combustion engines, they just use big fans in the facilities to help clear out the fumes quickly.

@jonKranked is correct. All electric as it stands. While my Audi is "over powered" it gets double the mileage of my M and ~ 20% more than my Forester. We're holding on getting Wifey's car until an electric becomes available.

Thank your lucky stars that you're all safe today. We are so fucking lucky.
In fact, don't watch.

News now says it likely wasn't downed power lines.

Which means some asshat caused this.
