In the cleavage of the Tetons
So, I got two tickets for the Waterboys for Oct. 1, so I will be coming down to Denver. Anyone wanna ride that weekend?
High country if it is still dry and not too freezing?
Anyone have a shed I could crash in, or place to park my travel trailer?
Reserve this space.

Also @6thElement was just talking about how fun the Monarch weekend we did a couple summers was, and he’d like to get back there. So, yeah. Maybe some other out of state primates want to join as well?

Oops, forgot I started this post too.
Amateur.

Any thoughts on a ride or two over this weekend?
I have lots of thoughts.

Too late for High Country?
Probably not.

Same as in Jackson: maybe.
I mean sure, "maybe"... but historically speaking late September is the primest of the high country season IMNSHO. So... yeah. And if @rideit is jonesing for some Crest then that should be the call.

Well, I would like to keep this thread going so we can make a ride or two happen, that is all.

I'd agree - Crest that time of the year would be primo... unless, of course:

Wasn't a Show-Stopper, but instead of a Quadfecta we only managed an Agate lap.

The elusive Brown's Creek trail
Not that elusive. To be fair... I haven't ridden Brown's but I have ridden Little Brown's (which is the drainage next door) and it's worthy. Heckuva climb to get to the top, though I suppose it is shuttleable... Though like Canyon Crick, it's only worth shuttlin' if you have a driver. Otherwise it's more time dicking around with vehicle logistics than just riding it.

Also that reminds me... I should go ride Brown's Creek this summer. And summit Antero while I'm there.

Actually might be a bit aggressive for two days. :brows:

That's the one I meant. And all it means is we need to bring along someone that will be so knackered from the 1st day of riding (looking in @stoney's direction) that they'll gladly run the shuttle. :D

Wife and I were talking about this period over the weekend, possible mid-CO on 21/22, then to Moab mid-week, finishing off Salida/Crest on 28/29.
