Lots of times. At one point I had a good network of friends that lived there. But it's become so gentrified that I'm pretty sure after a sunny bike ride I'm considered a person of color. So I just keep on driving these days. :D

Seems a little dry for outdoor weed.

They ever build any non shitty trails on bachelor? I think 2014 was the last time I tried to ride around there.
The wife and I went up without bikes last time and it looked like they had built some pretty cool runs. I am bringing my bike next time, so we shall see.

All the plants along 97 in OR are cbd hemp. Fuggin monkies need to hit me up when rolling 97 through WA. All the fruits I can get my paws on and some devastatingly rocky, narrow, off camber singletrack.
I thought they were Christmas trees when I first saw them. When we got closer, I was amazed. It looks awesome.

Modest bits. More tomatoes around the deck. Perrenial herbs mixed in with all the ornamental stuff in front of the house. A few other jalapeno and other plants in random spots.

I think a cat keeps digging in some of my plants. My planter filled with chive seeds has been torn to shit, twice. Not sure why I'm expecting them to still grow.

ugh ugh ugh. y u fuckers grow zucchinis? along with eggplants, they're the worst.

otherwise, all looking good. carry on.

we've got a few things in this year. all going ok and not being eaten by deer...yet.

because if you pick and eat them when they are small/young, they are delicious!

and zucchini make far superior quick/fridge pickles than any of that cucumber bullshit.
or used in making tzatziki. and chunked up and roasted with lamb.

Zucchini is delicious when halved, buttered til saturated, doused with parmesan and pepper, then baked in the oven.

Otherwise yea, pretty mediocre, along with its yellow cousin summer squash.

I love zucchini in many ways. But pickled I haven’t heard. When I get home I’m gunna try that. Seems weird.

just made one of my summer faves: thai tenderloin salad, with our first jalapeno. eventually, its cukes, green onions, and red pepper will come from our little garden too.

Something knocked one of the bell peppers off a plant last night. :(

Whatever asshat is doing it, also did the same thing to a jalapeno the other day. They knock it off, take one bite and leave it there. I've only ever seen one rabbit around here, but tons of roaming cats....

I guess I need to start looking for some cheap mesh or something to put at the bottom of the planters. Anyone ever do this with planters? I can't build a fenced in area...

Some a-hole animal murdered all my pepper plants after I had put them in the garden. I even protected all the plants with mesh after the first Serrano became a victim, but a few days later all the mesh had been removed along with the other plants. There are some large rabbits in the area, but I honestly suspect a cat is the culprit. I had no idea they had a thing for peppers.

Can't build a chicken wire fireguard type arrangement?

Not really, the planters are on an unfinished portion of the backyard, the owners are coming back soon to finish rebuilding the garage/shed, so it'll all just need to get knocked down or moved.

I guess I could build a temporary one staked into the ground a few feet tall, as least enough to deter cats or whatever it is from going in there.

Wheres the cheapest place to get chicken wire you think? It seemed crazy expensive at Home Depot when I shopping the other day.

I'd smear some petroleum jelly over that and leave it alone. Animals won't bite through the grease, you can mix in some hot pepper shake if they're really persistent. Then wash them well before you eat 'em.

The Navel Oranges and the Clementines have months to go, The tomato plants vary. the larger tomato's have a ways to go while the cherry tomato's are throwing a few ripe ones every couple of days. The Habanero's are ripening on one plant to where I can pick one or two every couple of days, the second plant is just starting to have a color change.

Eric. You'd likely get larger harvests if you ditched those buckets and transplanted starters in to the yard. It looks like you have the room, no?
