zee tonic fallguy with a 07 Marzocchi 4x, nemesised 65mm, black lower, brake tabs shaved. very nice.
hopefully i'll score some riding pics soon - as soon as i stop posing and being broken.
Sweet !
The lowers look good all painted up VAS
Did you a pic of them raw and polished up like i sent em ? I rushed out to UPs soo fast I never got a pic of them after I finished up ,
the brake tab area looked sick with the tabs ... erased off as they looked . I was very proud of my grinder/mill/sander/polisher work on those .
Satori: I too was a bit worried when I saw you grind your off , and at the time didn't think it was the smartest decision.
when VAs asked for this mod I didn't want to do it at first but decided to anyway , and it tuned out better than I thought it would have , no I DO NOT recommend people go out and try this at home , the material is super soft and there isn't much behind the brake tabs so it's easy to grind through these FAST !
I gave VAS a deal on these but if I were to do another set the lowers with my cost + time involved to remove the disk tabs would be $200-250 for just the lowers !
no too bad i didnt. it was a pretty job.Sweet !

YEa there were soo sick looking , I remember before I sent them out i looked at the tube profile in the light and I coulnt tell were the brake tabs had been cut off .. soo clean made me want to do the same thing to the lowers on my forks!no too bad i didnt. it was a pretty job.
i rattlecanned them asap.
Yeah, that thing is hot. Too bad it's not full cromo and has a 16.4" chain stay.I've always had a thing for Black and White, this thing is sharp

I see where you're headed, but wouldn't that make the BB super low with that frame? The geo on that NS is designed around a taller suspension fork, right?I'm going to sound like a jerk, but with this level of build just making this thing a little more BMX would make it a bunch better. Some bars w/ a 5.5" rise, a 24" S&M Pitch (or something close/lower) and you'd have the same thing but a bunch more top tube clearance.
A lot of people are doing this. You can never have too many bikes. I feel you on the 20 feeling a lil unstable. That's why I stick to street/park on the 20 and trails on the 24.
exactly what i'm into right nowYou can never have too many bikes. I feel you on the 20 feeling a lil unstable. That's why I stick to street/park on the 20 and trails on the 24.

just started on my bmx build w some tree bars and elementary v2 stem.exactly what i'm into right now
I think you'd like 8" bars. Years ago when I built my first 20, I had like 7" bars on it. I could never make it work, no matter how hard I tried. My back was always aching and I felt TOTALLY out of control. fast forward to earlier this year. Beerz brought his premium complete with ape hangers over to my house to check it out. One ride down the driveway and I was HOOKED! For me, the 8" bars made all the difference. Also, if you look at a lot of the DJ guys, their running classic slams. Wide and tall for max control. Seriously, you might want to check 'em out.Hey, beer snob, I'm pretty sure my bars are 7. Bigger bars might feel better, huh?
nice dudejust started on my bmx build w some tree bars and elementary v2 stem.
And with the new Molly's coming out soon, that sense could be had just around the cornerYeah, I'll probably go with 8" bars if I do a new build. It's not like I can't ride a 20... that's the only thing I rode for almost 20 years. It just would be nice to have it feel a little closer to my 26 if I'm going to be riding both.
I'm like ebrider.... a 24 would make a lot of sense in my life.
wrd. might not be best/lightest, but i got em for dirt cheap.nice dude
