What rims do you have? I know you wont take your tires back off but i suggest running ghetto tubless. I have Arrow rims and arrow 2.7" tires and the way they went together with the ghetto tubless treatment, i swear they are almost UST out of the box without the tubes. They seal very well and as heavy as the tires are, i doubt you'll ever flat again.Knuckleslammer said:I hope I never have to mount another arrow tire in my entire life. Those 2.7 arrows + nokian DH tubes = 14lb wheelset
Humm... worth while considering... It's Chris Ps old TMX and was white before but it got repainted in metal flaky black, but the paint's chipping off - suddenly it doesnt look that good with nail polish spots all over!joel hester said:hey. PM xy9ine. He pressed out the pivot of his TMX and said it wasnt hard to do. I sent my frame to BMW cause i was chicken to try and press out the pivot for fear of damaging the aluminum sleeve and it took almost 3 months to get it back. I didnt care cause it was being done "over the winter" when i was not riding. They did a killer job and included all new nuts, bolts, washers, stickers ETC.
What color(s) are ya thinkin ??

Yeah, I'm on the fence with the wingbar. Don't know if I like it or not.UiUiUiUi said:looks really cool!
except for that wingbar...
but oh well who wants to discuss personal preferences?
Oh no of course not, that's why tons of people have monsters on imperials and morphines....macmx said:There's no such thing as a hardtail hucker...
A lot of people prefer dual 26. Personally I would argue an "SS" bike should only have 20" wheels, but a lot of people have a hard time adapting between geometries, so they prefer to keep the same wheel size across all their bikes.macmx said:Someone tell me why the hell that SS has 26's...!
The eccentric might be used to create chain tension, or it might just be all they had around the shop to stick into the bmx bb shell.Funky Monk said:wow, an eccentric bb brooklyn hardtail? a proto obviously...and maybe it's a 26" compatible SS...
Thanks chief, I put a sh*tload of pride into this build. I just stare at it and think to myself over and over "this thing is ridiculous ". Yeah I frign stare at it till my eyes get glazed over. My wife comes out in the garage "are you gonna stare at that out here all night?"joel hester said:Knuckle,
WOW. The attention to detail is amazing. Your bike sure did turn out very nice. so have you been sitting there just staring at your bike? That's what i do when i build a new ride.
Is this the Hadley axle or a BMW axle? Dang that looks good. Im going to order a spare derailleur hanger with mine - just in case!
Kevin, LOL. My previous apartment had a garage as the first level and I would spend hours sitting in a chair( freezing cold in a thick jacket) listening to the radio and staring at my bike. Thankfully i didnt have anyone asking me what the hell i was doing. Kinda like peeing the bed, eating a booger, or rubbing one out - not something you'd like getting caught doing. kidding (2 of the 3 anyway).Knuckleslammer said:so I can't really ride it and sit on it. I did pedal it a bit on the street and it seems hard to pedal. I'm assuming it's because of those 2.7 Arrow dirt bike tires. Do you guys suggest anything else? Also I was wondering what does changing the sprocket on the left side do (the one attached to the crank on the left)I'm assuming that if you go lower from a 28 it makes it easier to pedal, but tops out quicker. Is that right or do I have it backwards?Kevin
