Somebody asked about the RL's frameweight earlier.

I hanged my stock 05 RL, (with the new and beffed up tubeset), on a solig scale. It' s not light, that's for sure!
Frame all mounted up with steel spring, steel bb and 170mm. cranks. Scale stopped on................ 9,1kg. or 20,1lbs.
I'm conserned about the 20kg. (44,1lbs). weight-limit I sat for the complete build earlier....

You can do it! Have faith. Think positive. And if nothing else, the color you got is sure the lighten it up in the loafers. That is if yours is the non-white one, of the two that recently went to Sweden.

Thanks for the good support tmx. :)
I'm skeptic about the 20kg's.. Guess it'll be more like 21 or so.. we'll se soon. I'm looking for a new ti bb as we speak. What length do I need? I'm also working on a new lighter brake-shaft.

Doh! Sweden you say. Check my location again. ;)

And yes, mine is the non-white.

Yes, I said Sweden. I take it from your additional question marks that I've made a horrendous mistake. Mea Culpa. Des culpa me. Con permiso. Lo siento. I'm sorry for my terrible oversight as to Sverre's exact location. (It's not like it's going to Peru.)

Sverre, sorry about the location error. Very cool that bike is yours. These monkey's are going to freak when they see it. I never saw it with stickers so I'm curious what you ended up with. Is Espen getting the other one? I'd ask him myself but I think he's mad at me for being a knucklehead. :D

All i can say is WOW ! that is a monster you've got there. That is about as burly as they come. I love the red and black. Those pics against the white snow look sweet. Be sure to send some action shots to ged on the UK site for the media page.

Congrats, that this is pure sickness!

That's a nice list of parts there Joel.
The listed weights looks ok. I think they're about right. You can always add some to the complete weight, cause it always end up heavier than we hope for.. Get the complete build weighed, when you're done with it.
What's the <<ti axel>> ?? (Do you mean the floater-thingy..?)
Did you get the Ti Imperial chainring?
I'm looking at those myself, or maybe the Ti KP Sprocket.. 28T..

The 1.625lbs High Roller 26x2.35 ust tires, will rip very easy. Ok if you're riding on non-sharp objects, and realy smooth trails.

Cheers.

dropthebrake, you got yourself a serious war-machine there!! Holy christ, that is a sick bike! Best looking TMX ever :thumb:
The sholderheight handlebars just looks too wicked. Do you have to use a special headset for that fork? How heavy is those forks anyway?

Nice shot Sverre. I like the sun blinging on the rear wheel and through the wood planks farther back on the bridge. Big move too.

Hey, anyone with a Ti floater out there ??
I'm gonna get one made, but I need some tips on wallthickness on the pipe. Anyone ?? (How much $$ did you pay for your floaters?)

i contacted them re: building a custom replacement rod - they can do them in aluminum or carbon with aluminum rod ends; he (brian, i think) quoted weights & prices, but i cant recall the details. the carbon rod was lots of $$ - pretty hard to justify, but it looks super trick.

I made my own Ti arms. If you guys are interested, I could do some more.
They are freakishly light. I don't know if you could really get it any lighter by going carbon.
I used 5/8" dia x .049 wall tube. It's what I had laying around. If I was going to order material specifically for this job, I would probably go with 3/4" dia
