Dag yo!!
What kind of chainguide is that?
Thats the hottest bike ever!!
i think that might be one of the new MRP's that use a box type upper and roller lower. i think so. my friends M3 has something like that and his is an MRP.

i like your website, BTW, very clean design - nice!

Yo Joel, whats with the Factory Dh's!? Those tyres kill people!
yeah, yeah. i didnt really know that but i did bust my ass least weekend on a ride last weekend on some wet rocks. tires just slid right off. I basically ride back and fourth to work on those tires. I'll put good tires on for racing.

joel how did you weigh your bike? 47.5lbs is pretty low already. my RL was like 55lbs using the bathroom scale. I hope to get the new 05 one around 45lbs with similar build to you but 888.

nickaziz, it was the scale at the bike shop with a big freekin hook that i hung the bike from the seat rail. i should probably get a second opinion.

yeah, i'd like to change things up next year and get it down to about 42 pounds. but i have a feelin that the current build is gonna feal real nice. going to do some shuttle runs this weekend.

Sounds like it would be pretty accurate then.

I am running heavier rims than you, but I will also have ti spring and ti axel to start. I am most likely selling the avy for weigh reasons and getting an 888. The avy rode nice though.

saw a pic of this thing on nsmb. I assume its old, but in my time i havnt seen a pic of it. Either way its cool.
I think that is the new 2005 hitman prototype.

Yeah it is. Those pic's weren't supposed to be on tinternet though.

Nikaziz - What avy's do you run? If it's the DHF single damper version i might take those off your hands if your getting 888s. Looking to replace my 888s with some Avys for a while.

did some trailbuilding and downhilling this weekend. 2 hours north of dallas texas in southeaster Oklahoma. the course is steep, rocky and doesn't let up. Runs will probably be in the 3+ minute range. we had over 15 people from dallas drive up and build a new course from scratch and we rode it on Sunday. very satisfying. Im exhausted!

it was me!

I don't think 42 is possible..? I guess 43 is the limit on the 05 RL, unless you put on some 10oz. xc-tires. (Single ply tires doesn't count).
I've buildt mine pretty light, and it's about 45, without Ti bits. I'll drop 11,5oz with the Ti bits, (BB and spring).

Nice pics Joel. The rocky section look sweet.

Looks very nice !!! How long is the course ?

Wow t. Looking swiiiish.

I think some black stickers would set that off a treat. OR, some metal chrome stickers, ykno like boxxer ones? Just Brooklyn instead obviosuly.

Oh, and where can i pick up one of those plastic chainguide plates? Will it work with the one bolt/jackshaft splined ring i've got at the moment? Or do i need the little spider thing i swear i've seen on some?

ya it is that bike is badass. The lowered crowns look real good. The 888s always looked way too racked up with the stock ones IMO. Looking mighty fine missy :)

Me too. Ant's the bomb and I'll get to see it more often if/when he moves back. Maybe he'll let me borrow it.......forever.

Yeah, that too. Let's not tell the calf man of our plans though, right? We must first convince him that San Diego is far too dangerous to be living there, and he should move back to his old safe haven in da Bronx. HA.

Shame on me for joking about stealing one of his bikes...after all he's been through with the others....

now with lower crown goodness.

any sticker color suggestions for the new season?

Is there still cow dung in the little nooks and cranies of your bike from when I rode it. I tried to explain to Hank that it was from the cows on the mountain, but I guess he was at the post office and was going to be back in 15 minutes.
