dunno if this one has been posted, yet (the thead is getting too long to search). i think this rl belongs to an ex-brooklyn employee. very chrome.

That RL is just the most bling bike EVER!

Anybody know who makes those white discbrake hoses? Or the white gear cable housing?

Can you feel any difference after the rebuild ?? Also revalve ??
Yeah, well actually I had waited a LONG time to send it back for servicing. So it was pretty toasted and spent by the time it came off my bike... Craig at Avalanche was very cool and set it up for my weight and skill. I had him add on the adjustable compression. So far the shock feels like new. I still have to sort out the settings for rebound and compression, but hopping right on the bike was like an excercise in PLUSH :D :thumb: :dancing:

tmx, can you tell me about his section. looks great fun. steep and offcamber ? This should be a great warm up for Angel Fire New Mexico which is the following weekend after the US Open.

mr. pop, it's not steep but yes, off camber. it's a total mindf*ck because it's pretty easy but the rocks and off-camber intimidate. i like the high line. for the most part, the rocks are imbedded and can be pounded through or used as launching pads for a couple skips through. babyheads and the like do get dislodged. best to point the bike and let it fly. your bike will shine.

you dont want this to be a sticky. we all find the thread and post up something new when there is something new to say. sticky status would mean the end of this thread cause people would never check it, just sit at the top and rot.

Bearing Question...

Any of you guys know the part numbers of the Linkage and Main Pivot bearings? I work for the company that makes them and I'm curious to see what they are actually using. Thanks...

Dunno here but I'm guessing my brooklyn has the same type of mainpivot bearings as the linkbikes and the tmx's. The "thin" bearings are called B543 and can also be found in cannondales head shock systems...

What company do you work for again??

Aren't hey torrington or something whacky like that? Aircraft turbine bearings??
I work for the Timken Company... Timken bought Torrington and Fafnir about 3 years ago or so...

I'll check to see what applications B543 is used in...

Thanks...
