We ran away from all the socal rain and hit up bootleg canyon this weekend.
Short and sweet. We didn't take much pics. I mean, why not just ride more.
Here are very few pics I took on my last run.

Mike's a stud for riding everything the trails dished out.

Funny how a harmless first ride impression comment about a trail turned out to be the eventual name -NASCAR
This is a perfect example of why working with land managers work when an unauthorized trail is endangered.
The good thing about NASCAR is that it's not shuttle-able. Being able to shuttle a spot brings trail use conflicts, especially from DHers who don't care. We hope to have the same fairy tale ending in SE S.D. with the USFWS land manager. But it's a tough sell when you have fellow Dhers..... i'll leave it at that.
Y'all should check La Costa/NASCAR out. Many hard work were put into this place by cool dedicated people. It's a nice short trail network but offers plenty of views and pretty challenging ride down NASCAR. I used to ride there a lot after work (I work 15 mins away from it) and can't wait for the longer daylight after work hours to roll in. It's a perfect place for an all mountain/trail bike but there is plenty of climbing for the cardio freaks.
Those who used to frequent there, please remind yourself, you're not in a 'bike park' anymore. Leave the big bikes and your latest NWD flick at home.
Kudos to those who got this trail network on the map.

I got 7th in sport 19-26. It was a fun course. Lovebunny didn't come because he would have been even slower than me.

Good thing for Sluck though, you took yourself and the Celtic jersey out of contention. Sluck walked away with 6th place and an XT rear der. Next time, when you biff, give your fellow racer behind you a chance for a clean run.
I(celtic jersey) was worried about Mike because he look like he was out of it, stubbling and falling. Putting myself down was the only option I had besides mowing down Mike. I was just pissed that they wouldn't give me a rerun. Oh well thats racing. Did mike finish?

Sluck pisses me off. 
Mad props to The Sluck for putting in that run with like 3 pins in his flat pedals. I was funny seeing the first place guys stare at the swag awarded to the lower podium winners. Those derailers are not cheap. Definitely worth more than an acrylic trophey.

thanks sluck , yeah i got my bell rung pretty good. i tryed to get back on my bike but had a hard time with the sand and after the hard hit to my cranium.
Ahhhh! Carnage of all sorts! I lost my top shot due inpart to a broken chain at 1 rock garden rock drop, coasted to secong garden and chain went through wheel taking out 4 spoke, xo der, rotor, locking up solid and having to carry my bike 30+ yards through the garden to the finish! Still got 15th not last as well as I was only 13 sec. off first even with all the drama. Oh well, next time!!!

Mike, how's the noggin? Carbon helmet was definately worth it yesterday. I know TKC was ok after the crash cuz he was chuggin a beer as he rode by later.
But you were able to mount your bike three times and crashed all of those times "getting out of his way."
You're an emotional one. Chill. There's always next time to put Adrian back to his place. Point-wise, Adrian actually got us beat soundly.
