I was whooping up on people so bad that I got invited to join like 4 or 5 clans. Thye only time I got beat was when the rocket was being used against me exclusively.

Too bad I cant afford a cable connection or Xbox live (Money or Time) or I'd be on there all the time. I really had a blast.

Wow! Thats pretty impressive.

Yeah, it's fun to play. I haven't really stoped playing online since the game came out.
And now with the new maps coming out, man, my wife is going to hate me.

I'm trying to figure a way to budget it. Last night I got spanked 5-10 by a dude that was level 18. Apparently I destroyed his clan mate and he wanted to show me who was boss so he invited me. Really, when people are that high up I think it must come down to how well you know the maps thus knowing how to be sneaky... facing off I felt we were pretty even. Usually sporting the exact same weapon combo and tactics, came down to whoever landed the first shot. Nearly every time I died was because he killed me out of nowhere... Id be getting shot and by the time I knew where it was coming from I was sheildless. He was usually in some odd hard to see spot. Just waiting for me to go for the plasma pistol or one of the 3 magnums, he had me figured out, thats for sure.

Used xboxes are everywhere - try Craig's List or something.

And knowing the map is half the battle. If you know all the good angles and you can keep moving, you can control the map. Sounds like he had the PP and BR combo on you.

I've noticed it's hard to stay high up on most of the maps. Hang Em High was great for that, you could hang out on the walkways and rain hell on everyone. Not alot of that in H2.

We'll see how that pans out w/ the new maps though.

Golgi, get a box and join the Monkey Crew. Maybe with you on board we can start doing clan matches and not get stomped.

Knowing the maps REALLY well is the problem, I havent played XBL enough to know all the secret little hiding spots and tricks. He'd get the drop on me is basically why he won.

As for weapons... no he had the same combo I had, otherwise he'd have gotten smoked. PP/Magnum, BR just isnt fast enough to take down someone with the dual PP/Mag. He just would get the drop on me.

You can stay high on most of the smaller maps and even the bigger ones. My favorite technique of any map is controlling BCreek. Get a kill and sit up top on the arch with dual magnums or Mag/PP. THen when they respawn and come looking for weapons (esp the RL or the Sniper) You can rain down fiery bullet death. Its even fun with dual needlers on the lower ranked players... they cant hear you shooting and they can see it coming unless they look up for the pink death (about the only good spot for needlers).

I have an Xbox, have for a long time. I play halo/halo2 a little jsut about every day (Legendary is my beeoch) and have for about 4-5 years, we have a group here that does lan parties, thats how I got good at multiplayer... anyway, my funding problems are for cable internet and an XBL subscription. Once I get the funds for that I'll be on there kicking azz and taking names... We have a lvl 14 and a lvl 16 in our lan group, I figure I can get my levels about as high as that if not better since I can take both of them.

I checked out the new maps, they look cool.

IMPORTANT:

DO NOT D/L THE UPDATE IF YOU HAVE ANY "HACKED" PROFILES. Whether you are using them online or not.

Delete them first.

XBL will do a scan of your xbox and ban you permanently if a hack is found.

Hundreds of lame-ass cheaters are already getting booted today. Hilarious!

No. the maps are later in the month. They had to roll out the patch and give it time.

Fraser is in a clan that is actually online I guess. The RM clan is never around.

I still think we should have called it :

The updates are sweet. Grenades are MUCH more effective..bodes well for me..just won a couple of rumble pits due to my grenade jedi skills. WOO WOO

And I left because except for z1, you losers are never on.

Ahh, grenades from Halo 1 are back :D

Sh!ttygun is the Shotgun again (almost) :thumb:

Paeple that suck dont get auto aim on the Magnum anymore :thumb:

Havent noticed anything else... but so far so good. I hated the shotgun like it was before.

Melee is so much more effective now. Pretty ,much like slamming a gun butt into someone's face should be...

Z, we played a clan match last night. Was pretty fun, hop on about 8 west coast tonight and we will rock.

The games are much tighter and intense now. You have to watch for those last second grenades.

Fun again, this Halo 2 game is.

Hmm, that is possible as well. I under stood 2 tomorrow, then 2 the following monday to help spread out the load.

Next monday is also the reset and new matchmaking updates. 2v2...wooooo

I just played an hour or so of games on the new maps..very fun.

Turf is fun, it's a friggin maze tho. Will be great for 2v2
Warlock is ok..sorta like midship but no plasmas
sanctuary is the best of the new maps by far. Perfect for CTF.
Containment..hard to tell..but its ****ing HUGE. Banshees will play a key role.
