Picked it up this evening... weeeeeeee!! I can't wait to build it up. One problem I found, is that I can't bring myself to put my old crud on it I am seeking lighter, more exotic (but still freeridish) components for it.. like Thomson stem and post, carbon riser, 2.35 single ply Maxxis, atomlab DHRs with King apple green hubs...

thanks... yeah, as i get older, i gotta ride taller bikes-- i can still drop the seat and have plenty of clearance for whatever; but if I ride over about a mile in the lower position, my knees let me know about it for days and days (35 years of Skateboarding, bike riding, a few bad car wrecks and general dumbassness has my old knees constantly on the edge of quitting their job) , so i got the Large (18") frame...Originally posted by dump

I gotta say that bike looks very good....but. Why do street-only bikes need disc brakes? They are in danger of being hit a lot, and concrete is the least forgiving thing I can think of hitting them with. Once again, nice bike.Originally posted by Hydraulicman

That's a good point. There is an addiction to braking power, I have it too!Originally posted by monkeyboy424

is it becasue people are used to the power of discs, like they have discs on their DH or trail bikes, so they cant go back?
