they've been around for ages, its weird that the only place i've ever found with the full maxxis range is switzerland , everywhere else seems to get only bits of pieces from the full maxxis range.
I've heard from my lbs mechanic that that is deu to specific needs for the country they are sold.

VV is it the same dampning as in the DH 2.0? Good looking fork by the way and very low weight.

Damping is of same quality as the 2.0 but not the same because its an air fork. Actual weight is 5.2lbs, and as said by lance canfield "It can take a beating"

Also look forward to the new DH 2.0, semi-air fork, weighs less, and has 8in of overlap at zero sag :thumb:

are you saying there would be a different rim for 135mm vs 150mm hubs?
No, no...

It was just a reference as to the context, the DeeMax are only available in 135mm. The Mavic guy was explaining that you could get the complete DeeMax front wheel and build a rear wheel to suit whatever hub your bike uses (hence the 150mm reference).

The exact damping comparison is a DH 1.8. Same travel and piston shim setup. The air provides a ramping that allows for a soft top of travel and a adjustable bottomout pressure via air volume reducer shims. Final weight is tbd but right now is 5.2 lbs. And yea I beat the poor thing and it passed with flying colors.
The 2.0 for next year is a all new fork with 8.5 in overlap to acheve a incredably stiff steering fork. More oil volume in the damper. Two springs on the positive side that can be changed out for different starting and ending pressures as well as a "0" air pressure assist to give it a rising rate. 6 adjustments in all with external compression, rebound and floating piston pressure to fine tune sag (support). Weight is 8.75 lbs.
