Your info is out of date. We bought a 42" LCD a few months ago that has 178 degree viewing angle. And it does look just as awesome from the side... friends have commented on it.Im not a fan of the LCD. The picture only looks good from straight on.

Not only that, but now I can clearly see how they'll loseNow you can watch your Raiders lose even bigger
Apparently not, this is the total for the TV and wall mount $2,322.01. The wall mount was $92 & change.how do you get no sales tax? isn't Amazon incorporated in every state?
Yes, most of all the new LCD TV's have a 178 viewing angle now. Some of the first LCDs were a lot less. I will say that every one of my display vendors we sell, say that LCD technology has surpassed Plasmas. Plasmas are only better at this time in 80" viewing screens and up. I prefer Projection myself for 80” and up. Here is my setup. 120" Yes I am a movie freak!!!We bought a 42" LCD a few months ago that has 178 degree viewing angle.
For one the PH series is EDTV, not HDTV, and secondly I don't want to run it through the stereo system every time I watch TV, I just do that for movies & sporting events.Dude!
Why pay $'s for the stock speakers on that TV? Save a few $'s and get a monitor and add your own sound system.
For less money, you could have gotten a 9th generation Panasonic TH-50PH9UK for $1995.
That's your room? What components are you running?Yes, most of all the new LCD TV's have a 178 viewing angle now. Some of the first LCDs were a lot less. Don't blame you... I have HDTV and love it.For one the PH series is EDTV, not HDTV, and secondly I don't want to run it through the stereo system every time I watch TV, I just do that for movies & sporting events.
why wouldn't you want the stereo audio used for TV viewing all the time? For one the PH series is EDTV, not HDTV, and secondly I don't want to run it through the stereo system every time I watch TV, I just do that for movies & sporting events.
That room us awesome, but I have too much abbient light to enjoy a projection screen during the day in my home.now that ^ is an awesome room.
If my viewing room wasn't so small, we'd do the same setup. As it is, we bought a HUGE couch and HAD to get a 6" deep TV so we could keep the table between the couch and TV the other TV was like 3 frigging feet deep.
EDTV sucks compared to HDTV. All it is is progressive scan regular Standard Def. 480p upsampling of a 480i signal. Usually ends up looking like poo.Don't blame you... I have HDTV and love it.
120" 80"x45" Da-Lite HD ScreenThat's your room? What components are you running?
Yes I was lucky to have this room in my basement to finish out for it. If I didn't have that room I would have a 60" rear projection LCD TV.but I have too much abbient light to enjoy a projection screen during the day in my home.
I just never have in the past, just don't seen the need to watch HGTV in surround.why wouldn't you want the stereo audio used for TV viewing all the time?
I'm in agreeance.I just never have in the past, just don't seen the need to watch HGTV in surround.
