I am pretty sure Charlie is gone for good. I saw a little snip of a news interview after the finale and one of the creators said that they killed him off because they wanted to show that the main characters will still die.
I am pretty sure hes done. He probably was too popular of an actor to keep paying for 2 more seasons. Just like when they killed off those two chicks who got DUI's in real life.
I am really curious who was actually in the coffin.
Another thing I know its 'future' from at least the island, probably present day Jack because he was using a Motorola KRAZR that came out this year. My company did all of the text/video/picture messaging, calender, calculator, etc. software for that phone. =]

Pirates washed up on the island. They are either the ancestors of the Others or they ARE the others.

I don't think it was Locke--as he has green eyes, and the face in the window had brown. But, it's awfully funny how Locke showed up right after that, though. Honestly, the face looked like Patchy's....I mean, we don't really know for sure that he died in the underwater grenade explosion that drowned Charlie, so perhaps he's hiding out in the cabin....Great episode! Hurley saw something---aka, Jacks dad, Christian Shepard....who made a pretty creepy cameo in the 13th mobisode "Missing Piecies" with Vincent the dog right after the plane crash. John Terry, who plays Christian Shepard has been in every season premier....wierd, huh?
Oceanic 6? .....Jack, Kate, Jin, Sun, Hurley, Sayid.
The real questions are: If Hurley went with Team Locke--how did he get off the island? If Rose has cancer, and the island is curing it....why would she want to be rescued? Where does Jacob figure into this equation?
I loved that in the flash-forward of this episode, we see Jack starting to make that downward spiral. In the season finale flash-forward of last year, he was a full-blown, pill-poppin', liquor-swiggin', uncontrollable ass.....in this one, he had yet to make that freefall....but had already started with a screwdriver for breakfast. But, did you notice he poured the orange juice first....then a little nip of vodka on top? Just that little touch that shows you he's not an alcoholic yet--as a full-blown, self-respecting alkie like myself will tell you....vodka first, then a little OJ on top--not the other way around. A nice, subtle clue-in that we're in the future, and things have gone haywire for Hurley, but not yet for Jack. Funny that he ratted on his dad for being intoxicated in the operating room, and here he is following in his exact footprint......
OK, What's the significance with JJ Abrams and the number 6? I read somewhere during my post movie research on Cloverfiled that there is significance to the number 6. Now it's getting more apparent in Lost:

- Dharma logo is a hexagon(my bad, it's eight)
- I think there are 6 numbered stations
