I spoke with the Sorba about doing something at Helen GA along with the XC..... Well, they pretty much said they'd rather test the waters with something more like Super D first.
They also have their own racing problems.... so who knows....

I still think there should be a DH race at Oak mtn, Alabama. At the Bump n Grind. It's set up PERFECT for a race. Huge gravel road going to the very top of the run.(I'm thinking dropping in at the top of the trail that has 'blood rock').

Is that the same promoter that did the Dam Jam last year?

yeah.....while you're at it...2 things.
1. Post a Mapquest mileage to that race
2. Post an elevation grade and distance for that run...Herndon said it was something like 2 minutes max.

The shuttle SUCKED in the worst way, but the ride down was FAST, FLOWY, and F-ing FUN!!!!

2. from the very top, it could be close to 2 1/2 - 3 minutes. It's an 800' hill.

I think that a spirited discussion is sometimes a good thing in order to get everyone on the same page. I agree that it does get pretty lame but confrontation usually leads to a better understanding of everyones issues. Besides what the hell else is this forum for?

some of the folks on the knoxcycling website need to be reminded of this from time to time.
