They made those in right hand drive?
The car in the picture is most likely a replica of MkII or MkIV racecar from the 60s, not Ford GT from 2005-ish.

The old OG racecars were all right-hand drive if I'm not mistaken, and.had the shift lever in the door sill, right about where the oval aluminum plate is.

Velocity stacks say carbs, can't quite make out the text on the mesh cover, think it says "Boss", the '05 has a supercharger, and a much different interior. You're correct on the shiftier location. That's definitely a kit car.
