I use them all the time, for sure. It drives my wife crazy. Recently she was complaining, so I told her “the problem is all perspective. If I were dating a dentist or dental hygienist, she would think this was SO HOT right now”.

This was not met with the hilarity that I had hoped for.

(and you wonder why we have issues, lol)

The problem isn’t the excellent and useful engineering and mechanical properties of many plastics, (well it is but) it’s years of conditioning to the throwaway society, our failure to legislate for genuinely closed system manufacturing and recycling systems.
