I've seen that a lot during enduro/Super-D races. With 30 people on trail a lot of dust gets kicked up and sun glasses don't always do it.People are idiots!

Pfft I live in Australia, we eat dust as a main meal, decent sunglasses are fine, people are still idiots.
I have contacts. If I did a mass start enduro, I'd probably run that setup.

I rock that all the time. Dust + low light + contacts = my riding sunglasses don't work well on XC descents. I could spend some money on a proper pair of clear riding sunglasses, but find it cheaper to just throw a pair of goggles in the backpack.

I live in Poland and I ride to work on a bear. Googles are still relevant. Yes, on a ride with JeremyR and Bizutch I got hit so hard by a branch it made my teeth hurt.
Hahaha cool, how fast can the bear go? Yeah fair enough there are probably places this setup works well but on a line of dirt jumps probably isnt' one of the places you need a half lid and goggles.
