I used to work with a guy who lived there. His wife was pregnant when it all went down. Their son seemed healthy until he hit puberty, or failed to hit puberty. He had to go on hormone treatments to kick start the process.
I love that area. I only went to the amphitheatre once, though. It happened be one of those boiling hot days and my ex nearly died climbing back up to the car.

Is that really the best they could come up with. With all the smart people in F1. That is an engineering solution not a user centric solution.
I believe the FIA wrote a pretty restrictive spec on what exactly you could do for driver protection, and that buttress in the middle is the least terrible way to meet the frontal impact requirement. They should just move to a closed cockpit, it's no less a dissolution of what makes an F1 can an F1 car than that halo thing. Not that it actually matters, F1 hasn't been worth following in at least a decade.
