Hey Butch, pumptracks aren't hard to build at all. I have built 2 (both by hand with a shovel) and going to build another once the weather gets better around here. My suggestion is to look around on here and gets some ideas, then just go out and start building. The beauty is that you can constantly change things up and be very creative without too much effort. You could get someone to layout and build one for you but it will always be for you and not by you.I've been seeing so many build pics lately. Herndon just built a silly rad pump track and posted pics of it on his blog. Ben Blitch of Asheville "B4 Consulting" is posting pics of big, banked up switchbacks on his blog. Gerrit posting pics of dirt jumps galore.
Anybody with experience building pump tracks want to come lay one out at my house?
I keep looking at that pic trying to figure out how that guy got in that position. Where is this on the track? It looks like the rebound bucked him but the trail looks pretty flat and he's up so damn high.......
what did you use to make that?Ahhh winter...
We didn't want our construction skills to get rusty with all the snow we've had. Bets on how far my tarp flies in the 70 mph gusts we're supposed to get today?
freezing rain had frozen a 4 inch layer solid above the snow. We cut out bricks with a shovel and stacked them. Unfortunately the winds ripped the roof off last night, snapping my tent poles in the process.what did you use to make that?
go beyond the obvious there caveman carnie.looks like snow to me butch.
gotcha! Way cool. We tried 5 gallon buckets at the house but once my girls lost interest, we quit stacking and realized it was something of a lude looking object anyway.freezing rain had frozen a 4 inch layer solid above the snow. you mean Wolf Ridge? I recognize that section I dug in the background is why.......
nope. I didn't build ANY of that stuff up there. I helped out 1 day and it just happened to be that section behind you. I promise. You are correct Butch ! Did you build that tabletop....... ?
I knew there was a reason I couldn't place where that spot was on the track. Where is Wolf Ridge? Is it a race course?you mean Wolf Ridge? I recognize that section I dug in the background is why.
