Damn manimal, your son kicks butt for his age. :thumb: I like to see kids like ours rip up the DJ's and drops. My son is riding a '06 IH Aniki FR rig with 24" wheels. The great thing is that his rig will also except 26" wheels, so when he is ready, I'll just slap them on. The pics were a mix of our local FR trail and down town. He loves to run that jumpline at Santos and the two drops on the east side of the jump bowel. I got him to huck the smaller drop (I think it was the 12' or 15' drop) of the three on the west side (where the double is). I was a proud father that day and he got some serious attention after that. Does your son huck any of the drops in the jump bowel? Even though, your son looks like he is definitely getting his FR game on that jumpline. I may have seen you out there before, because your son looks very familiar to a younger kid that I was watching running the DJ's once at Santos. Do you live around Santos?

Thanks bro! Yeah, he can do some serious ripping when he wants. He has been in a slope lately. Kinda weird for him. Now if I can get him too stop breaking his RD hangers. Third this month.

Anyways, I have been talking to Jay, and he is going to be meeting us at Santos either on the 27th or 28th (Friday and Saturday) of this month for a FR session and some red trail riding for that Turkey weekend. If you are interested in riding with us, give me a shout bro. Just shoot me a PM either here, MTBR (ChiliPepper1) or on OMBA's forum (ChiliPepper). :thumb: TTYL!

Yeah, I though I saw you guys on the road Sat. on my way to the track...
Stacked it bad in first moto....gonna be out for 6 weeks. :-(
Yeah, that was most likely us. We were heading out for some urban FR and then a cook out at Wickham Park later on. Too windy for any bigger drops though, but it was fun while it lasted. Bumped into Jay today on the Fruit Trail with his buddy Frank. They were supposed to be riding at Markham today, but drove down there to only to find out it was closed due to some Jamaican Festival. That was a total bummer for him! Sorry to hear about your wrist bro! I was told earlier today by Daniel that I also bumped into on the Fruit Trail that you busted up your wrist up and was off the bike for awhile. That truly sucks bro! Hope you recover fast. :D

BTW, Joco says thanks and hello! Well, I will TTYL and see ya on the trails tires down bro.

Cool pics bro! I like that pump track, looks so cool looking. The one we have here locally is not that eye pleasing. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice track and flows great, but I am not a fan of packed shell. FL for you.

No, the wrist was the last bad injury. this time I got the clavicle...again, a couple fingers and various scrapes and bruises. Sucks! BTW since the pro-am the track has been so sweet. Smooth as silk and super fast..and yes, it has been sprayed and is hard as concrete.

Damn bro, sorry to hear about the clavicle as well. Those really are a bummer! Yeah, I am still healing from my crash off a 6' flat drop when my son and I were doing some urban FR last month, and just got the sutures (stitches) out of my hip last week. My knee and hip are still giving me a bit of a fit, but not enough to stop riding, just not any of the big drops though. Well bro, I really hope you heal up soon and get some rest for the shoulder. I have not been out at the track in awhile, sounds like it is rocking now. I wish I could get my son interested in that, but he wants the jumps, not the track. Now, if I can get him into some DH. We are going to try in late winter next year when we head up to Elijah in GA and Paris Mountain, SC. :D TTYL bro!

Convert confirmed. Something about the mentality of being in said poofy pants makes you feel the need to go as fast as possible. :)

Plus, it keeps my knee pads clean, which is so crucial to parking lot posing
It was harder to pull off the poofy pants look back in the day when shop sponsors only made XC jerseys. But coming from moto..I fought the good fight. Speaking of moto...I rode my nephews brand new KX450 yesterday. Why did I ever stop?

Look closely in the 2nd pic. That's right...hydro rim brakes, water bottle cage under the down tube, detachable face guard, massive chainring...snapped chain...dirty stache. Pics got it ALL!

Some thanksgiving footage from my track back home; "moonshine".

Props to my older brother for shooting it for me, and to Jeremy, Matt, Butch, and Kenan for helping me bed the trail in before I shot the video!

That was a badass video.
ditto! can i come live at your house? ;)

pic content:

noah and I, 35mph coming down from sky valley. about 1 minute before some overbearing ignorant po-dunk mountain cop made up his own traffic laws and decided that noah was "too small" to come down the twisty mountain road. i was FURIOUS.

that's the flat section, the fun part is the 10% grade into the 15mph curves that we were about to hit when that cop stoppes us. nothing more fun than passing cars at 30mph in a sharp curve on a dh bike :D

by the way, i have pics to be uploaded of the lower half of the Sky Valley DH course...it's still there but needs some TLC.

noah and I leaving sky valley, about to head down the mtn.

Who needs bikes when we have Sledder-x (sledder-cross.) Speeds reaching 40mph on sleds. This was the experiment, next time we're going to have berms and jumps on a faster and even sketchier course.
