where the trails are
Evil DOC

I had the Z1 just so I could ride when I built it up. I currently have a Pike on there at about 100mm.
(note: Burley, this pic was taken just down the shore from Soldier Field last Summer)

It's noticeably smoother on trails compared to my old Chameleon (below) but the Evil is pretty much a street / jump bike 90% of the time and doesn't see much real trail time.

I don't think I'd buy another aluminum hardtail. I can't say why the ride is better exactly, but I'm noticeably less fatigued riding the same trails on this bike then on the Chameleon (even if I'm standing half the time).

This picture is of a deer that was in my photobucket account along with these pics. I'm including it just because. :thumb:

I know we've all seen mine a ton but here it is. I have a new bash and some other bits (pedals, bash, salsa collar).

I dont think Ill get another FS unless I get back problems and an aluminium HT isnt even an option any longer.

I had a Azonic Steelhead and rode it for a bit and it was pretty solid. I'm getting a Doberman in the next few weeks to replace my Porter.
I feel a bit more confident on them, don't feel like they are going to snap underneath me. IMHO, get steel.

Front Range, dude...
Jamis Dragon, 96 vintage. XTR derailleurs, Thomson stem/post, Mavic hoops. Sweet scoot, prolly my favorite in ever, next to the 03 Kona Unit that it competes for attention with...

Eastern Woods Research, not built.

It was never the best thing since zip-tied joggers, but their ads in dirt rag were sometimes funny.

And this is the bike that sold me on steel being such a great material to make bikes from. I'm seriously regretting selling that frame.

Because it's such a do it all bike. I love it. I like my squishy bike, but I love this bike. Also have a fixed road bike, and a fixed crosser/commuter, both steel.

(has fenders and lights on for commute purposes)

I don't have any pics at work but I have two:

1. Azonic Steelhead SS: heavy but fun bike. Corners and jumps well, great on singletrack with the seat up, too!

2. 20 something year old Bianci road bike - lugged and full on Campy stuff. It sits in my trainer all year long...
