Wife and I have ridden from home doing Apex, up through WR, Mountain Lion in GGSP, back into WR for Mustang, Maverick, Longhorn and back up chimney.Nice! Bitch of a climb mid-ride.
I recall a few times hooking up White Ranch with GGSP. Stupid and painful but great when done!
Trails here can do that on the way down, but generally a fire road or climb trail offers a nicer climbing experience.Maybe cause we don't have 1400 foot climbs at all, let alone in 2.2 miles?
Here's some of the chunkier stuff:Sounded techy. More WTF at the fact doing it on a full rigid bike.

Getting to like this thing.
The stem is still keeping the bars in place. incredible!
you know, Thomson are bulletproof, but WTF do they use little 3mm hex fasteners made of soft butter? Any fastener that small should at least be torx, or Ti.This will do nicely: https://www.bikethomson.com/product/elite-35mm-x4/
Ham fisted need not apply. I hear you though, I have one from the 4mm era and the other from the 3mm.Gotta be careful.you know, Thomson are bulletproof, but WTF do they use little 3mm hex fasteners made of soft butter? Any fastener that small should at least be torx, or Ti.
sorry, rant off.
yeah, I swapped out the clamp bolts on my old Thomson. I still have it, but in old clamp diam.Ham fisted need not apply. I hear you though, I have one from the 4mm era and the other from the 3mm.Gotta be careful.
Try riding without at -30° F.Looks awesome.
Doesn't change the fact bar mitts are the most absurd thing I have ever seen.
Great looking stem!Holy shit today was good. Tshirt, shorts and sweating. Kinda brought back memories of Pisgah a few years ago; leafy and wintery looking, but perfect temperature.
Agreed. Is it Canadian?Great looking stem!
I've sat at winter campsites for hours on end halfway up a mountain in the whites in similar, with far less. And that's sitting still.Try riding without at -30° F.
Great looking stem!
Chromag.Agreed. Is it Canadian?
What size fasteners are you runnin'?
Honest question, is it still fun riding at -30? That's uh, quite cold.Try riding without at -30° F.
No. Fat biking sucks.Honest question, is it still fun riding at -30? That's uh, quite cold.
Would you trade for a generic Norco stem? asking for a friend.Chromag.
It has bears on it and 5mm bolts all around.
I actually got this one, even though its heavier, partially because of the 5mm bolts. I always feel like 4mm bolts on my other stems are on the verge of rounding out after a few uses....
What if I put Ti bolts in the Norco?Would you trade for a generic Norco stem? asking for a friend.
Yes it is if you dress appropriately. Both of my rides in those conditions were most of a full day, festivals, once in Stowe, once in East Hereford, QC.Honest question, is it still fun riding at -30? That's uh, quite cold.
I'll trade it for the Norco.Would you trade for a generic Norco stem? asking for a friend.
I'll trade you fingers.I've sat at winter campsites for hours on end halfway up a mountain in the whites in similar, with far less. And that's sitting still.
Ymmv

That is one big rock. Can you get to the top of it?
Yes, the Antenna Trail rides down on the side of it. That place got some major rock formations and walls. Trails were meh. That is one big rock. Can you get to the top of it?
That dirt looks PRIME.
