Local ride where I ran into Simon Andreassen, fast AF Danish XC rider. He hit a lot of the jumps on the DH/FR/slopestyle playground that I do not dare to do on his (I guess) Stumpi. Interestingly he was wearing Cannondale kit, so I guess I know who he is riding for next year. Crappy screen grab from a video.
Race today. Super fun. Went with little "dinky" 3.8x27.5 tires. They were definitely the ticket in these hard conditions. Should be a pic of me launching a little drop sometime soon. 25°F, hard, but not boilerplate. Looks like about 65 racers.

Found all the people who got snowshoes for Christmas.
We had a bunch of rain a few days ago, but I don't think the same storm you guys got. All the snow was basically gone, but from Christmas eve to now, we've gotten dumped on with snow. We live on Lake Simcoe, which I'm sure helps add to the snow volume.
Looks like there is a chance of rain tonight/tomorrow though.

checked out some of the new dh lines the kids have been building on the out-of-bounds terrain on the local mtn. same kind of shit we used to do a decade ago. we're working to get the land made available legitimately, but in the meantime, the kids are alright.
