What do you think of the Wrathchild? What size? The Wrathchilds are back and ready to wreck the white ribbons of doom.
Winter riding in greater Boston sucks even worse in the covid times btw.
Those are 27.5x3.0 on normal wide-ish rims (Velocity Blunt 35). They are exactly 2.8" wide knob-to-knob and barely fit in a non-boost fork and a 29" frame. They are fantastic on snow and ice and unlike my previous Schwalbe Ice Spikers, they are like new after three seasons of winter riding. What do you think of the Wrathchild? What size?
I have been thinking about some wider studded shoes for the winter.
I can go upto a 2.6, and the Wrathchild caught my attention.
Not sure if it would be much difference in flotation over the 2.4's I run for summer, studs not withstanding.
...and damn, are those things expensive.

Just did Flow today, rode a little more than 14 miles. Have u ridden there lately? Trails were pristine after this week’s rain.which trails did you hit?
Haven't been to the Demo in years. My schedule has been hell. I work 50-60 hours a week sometimes 6-7 days a week. I rarely have the spare 6-7 hours it would take to do that round trip to get in more than one loopThat's my buddy's 1999 Land Cruiser. Been totally modified for off-road.

Yep, pretty much an all day affair. Yesterday left my house @ 7:30 and rolled back in my driveway at 2 with no lunch stop. We usually stop in Los Gatos at Andales' for a Carnitas Torta & beer. If you've never stopped there for one, they truly kick ass!Haven't been to the Demo in years. My schedule has been hell. I work 50-60 hours a week sometimes 6-7 days a week. It's high summer, the temps are in the mid-90s, and you're heading to eastern Washington. Might as well take a hike.laurendanner.com

In the canyon floor is a rail trail which is pretty nice and scenic. There's a pile of singletrack in the uplands above the canyon though and they're a good time!Cowiche Canyon - Lauren Danner
