Practicing hill climbs. Can't even tell it snowed 3" today...but that's what happens when the sun angle is like this and you get 16 hours of daylight.

New stem performed well as my bars remained connected to my bike. This upgrade turned out to be a bar/stem upgrade, which worked out nicely. Fresh shock rebuild did too. And my 54t star ratchet… and the new grips I decided I needed. Add a fresh DHRII out back and my bike is the shiz these days.

Tuck n rolled when my outside foot ran into a rock going around a berm. I saw it coming and couldn't get repositioned in the turn. This time was into soft grass so that was nice.

Good thing they are not dangerous and like being fed from cars.

1/2 of Bozeman was there yesterday, so the biggest threat were the packs of well conditioned cougars*

In my experience biking is almost always a sausage fest, so I'm pleasantly surprised to bike in the park where the ladies outnumber the men.

It's a similar vibe at Copper City which is Bozeman's Fruita-esque escape in the banana belt of Three Forks en route to Helena.

*I'd say despite my late start to coincide with the warmest temps of the day, it was as crowded as I have ever seen it, probably 200+ cyclists [5-85] with the majority being uber fit females.

30% kitted out road bikers , 40% riding townie / mountain bikes, 20% fat, 10% e-bike

More troubling to me was the realization that almost every male over 50 had a bushy gray JBP style 'stache regardless of bike or fitness level...

Little guy asked me yesterday if we could spend the whole day on bikes. Kinda came out of nowhere, but yes absolutely we can. So we rode to the mountain, grabbed food at the lookout cafe, rode round the mountain, playground, frisbee and then back home. He didn’t flinch at the hills or the distance. Was great fun. Looking forward to more rides with him!

Crap! Is that your Scout? And just pulled it out of storage like that?

Hopefully you can get a quick fix or replacement arm. :(
Yep, was doing spring cleaning/maintenance. Put in a application for crash replacement. Hopefully they still have that part. If not, they offer new frames... but at what price, dunno yet.
