At about noon today my kneecap decided to swell up to about the size of a tennis ball - I think I must have slammed it yesterday one of the times I went down...

I fell on the ice recently and ripped my arm off. I wasn't wearing jeans. I thought I broke my hip also. I just rested in the snow for a while. I didn't break my hip and walked home after I gathered my resources. I now bring a lock with me in case I crash and have to leave my bike in the woods.

The last few pictures remind me why every winter, instead of riding in shit conditions, we just build moar trail and jumps. Full marks to you boys for continuing to pedal in that shit. Y'all are hard as fuck.

Hand is getting better and feeling very nice, especially after this nice bicycle ride. First trail ride since Dec 17th.
In the summer tonnes of Wild Ginseng grows on the side of that hill above the trail.
