Where is the trail heading in 2nd and 3rd pic? Straight down gravity line or between the trees you guys are looking in the 2nd pic, traversing all the nice off camber roots and rocks? Is there a catch berm somewhere?
They’re somewhat unrelated pics.

The shot looking uphill is traverse half the roots then straight down. For a while...

There was a catch berm way down the hill somewhere.

Too rich for my blood!

New trails off the backside of Copper City were fun but seemed uphill both ways. Teh Midge about to drop in... our destination down below

There was some swoopy goodness, but I may prefer Helena for shoulder season...

Gametrail/narrowish singletrack > machine built berms but Copper is 10 mins off I90 and :40 from BZN vs 1:40+ for HLN

Trilliums are out.

And someone has gone around the closed trails. Can see the old trail on the right here, with the crud and orange fence. I ain't complaining...

today is my wife's birthday, so I took the day off to hang out with her. but she wanted some alone time so she could just chill and read her book. so I went for a ride. it was cool enough that the bugs weren't too bad, and slick enough to make things interesting. Played a bit more with tire pressures and LSC settings on my fork. Things are getting better.

is that a locals-only trail, or part of an official network?! Looks sweet....
It's been an underground network for years. We are going official soon. Waiting for kiosk and map to be completed. It won't be on Trailfork though.

This is the most pissed rattle snake ive ever seen. It had the squirrel half way down when i ran it over. Scared me good, It came out of nowhere and was laying with the trail, so I ran it over good. Im glad im ok and i hope my new enemy is ok too.

I should probably go ride that sometime...
That trail in general has been a favorite of mine for years but since buying the relatively new smaller bike I've been using the other exit exclusively until today. It was a nice change to take the old line.
