Solid maybe on that one. With 12' sheets I would only have 7 total joints to mud, all along the horizontal tapered edges. So it wouldn't be hugely difficult, but infinitely moreso than paying someone else to do it.
Overhead sanding is the worst.

Can I talk to you about chemically bonded Gorilla Tape residue, by any chance?

New pair of glasses from Zenni turned up, exact same frame as I'd ordered from them 4 years ago that I'd damaged the lenses in.

New pair is sort of squashed in/more wrap around than the old pair, so it's like the nose bridge is angled inwards more. So that the ends of the arms are probably 2" closer together. Don't fit me at all, so they need to go back.

Do I order another pair and hope the frame isn't screwed up, or do I pay 3x more and buy from the local optician?...

Understand.
Edibles have almost no effect on me. But if they did then I’d be eating a bag of gummies in the tub when my back goes out.
Edibles aren’t terribly helpful but they are easier to dose, and more predictable with how they wear off. The relaxers hit hard and linger too long. Plus, in my condition, anything that relaxes ALL the muscles means full body operations become impaired to a shitty point.

I'm on the fence with Zenni. I am wearing glasses from them and have had several pairs, but they're very mediocre (i guess you get what you pay for). My daughter's glasses wore out the way you are sort of describing. I asked for some help (5mo after I bought them) and they were like "Up yours, customer". New frames would be $20, new glasses are $50, so new glasses it is.

I will say that the frames are legit even if customer service is mediocre. I saw a pair of frames at a local optician for $120. They were $17 on Zenni. With lenses it would probably be $30 vs. $250.

Anyways, I'd probably return them as that's possible, then use the store credit to buy a new pair. The other option is to visit your optometrist and ask them to fit them to your face. It's not terribly difficult to adjust them to fit better.

I am trying to manage the biggest clusterfuck at work right now. My boss is home sick (which is fine) but I have a pair of meetings tomorrow that are like exactly the same thing. It makes sense to cancel one of the duplicates (which I control) but not without her approval...and she's not getting back to me. Wasn't expecting to present, need to make slides, meetings are named incorrectly...jesus fuck

Well shit Cyclobenzaprine for everyone !
In good news, it's been over 12 hours since I've pissed out blood!

But yeah, the back sucks. Can't sit down for very long or it just gets worse when I need to get up.

Last night I watered the garden and whatnot and felt almost normal. Not sure if just moving around helped (after sitting in the car for 6 hour driving home from Bromont) or maybe it made it it worse...will probably attempt a short easy ride tomorrow, just to get moving and stuff.

They gave a USPS label, so they're going back.

I really liked my original pair, if I could have undone the lens screws and just swapped them between frames I'd have done that, but my screwdrivers didn't want to play nice and I didn't want to trash the screws.

My wife has a THC cream that she uses for back pain that she swears by. Not sure if that's something available in CA, but I can't see why it wouldn't be. I can find the brand if you're interested.

I have destroyed enough wheels over the past few years that I am getting pretty good at building them. Rim replacement last night took less than an hour and it is damn near the straightest wheel with the most balanced tension I have ever noticed. Probably helps that for once the rim wasn't shaped like a potato chip out of the box.
I am so out of practice I have someone else take care of mine. I sold my Park stand. I still don't have control of my right hand sometimes.

Man, its so cool when youve committed to a super steep chute with no way to stop and then a drop comes up and you think “yep, im doing a drop”. No choice is a great motivator!

Happy hour with rfp team before tomorrow am. VP on team suggested that I talk with someone on the executive team who races open wheel karts for a professional team. Thinks it's a good person to introduce Haley to early on, largely because of her age and interest in racing. So, I'll work on that this week.

Also sent my resume to friend. :busted:

day two on the ambulance is the books. I'm tired but damn today was fun. Yesterday I got to play hey , hello, oh fuck this ones circling the drain. Profuse sweating, non responsive, shallow breathing, thready pulse, no pupillary tracking sitting in a chair in the lobby of a dialysis center when we walked in. Told the receptionist to call 911, post Dialysis diabetic coma. Paramedics came and took them away. I have no Idea if they made it or not

Well, HBD JBP! I’ve been really busy lately so haven’t been on here much. Just saw this though and had to drop it here for @Toshi — $325+ per hour for radiologists (full time too) in NZ atm because we desperately need em! Now that is a solid hourly rate.
