What went into the Shimano vs. SRAM decision?

I got big hands. I don't like SRAM shifters... I got XTR Brake levers and can add the new shifter via perch which I scarfed from someone elses SRAM upgrade... I already have the Bottom Bracket also...

I can't speak for jd, but for me it was price, largely because I didn't feel like having to pay for xd drivers on top of the drivetrains

sorry-was thinking eagle, for which nx is the only sram option. my bad. for 11sp, yeah, rock xt, sunrace, etc.

Fair point. But nx eagle is still ungodly heavy. North of 600g.

i’ll still take cheaper (a lot) and ready-to-go over lighter, much more spendy, and new freehub shell. i ain’t trying to shave seconds to win my stage.
