Not actual race runs no.do they get two runs?
I think he was referring to the "livetiming" website that showed a box for a 2nd timed run next to the 1st run.Not actual race runs no.
If you count qualifying as a race run then yes they do.
Yea that threw me offI think he was referring to the "livetiming" website that showed a box for a 2nd timed run next to the 1st run.
Arrogance.What happened to Sam?
"When one is great, people often mistake candour for arrogance."Arrogance.
I watched all interviews of Sam from Maribor....My god, Hill is more arrogant than never.
seriously. He was pumping his bike the whole way down the grass slopes trying to get any bit of speed he could.Congats to Richie and the proud papa! Couldn't happen to a greater kid. To have that time and not be able to pedal the end.....
i cant believe he pulled it off so well. congrats to him. hes going to have a good season ahead of him.seriously. He was pumping his bike the whole way down the grass slopes trying to get any bit of speed he could.
Saw that kid at Massanutten. He outweighs a brick shlthouse by a brick.seriously. He was pumping his bike the whole way down the grass slopes trying to get any bit of speed he could.
I was doing fine... got all my lines in the top section, hit the rock garden nice, got through the woods. Then I got arrogant and couldn't shake it. Lost a lot of time being arrogant and couldn't make it up.Arrogance.

Grrrrr must spread rep!"When one is great, people often mistake candour for arrogance."
Personally I think pretty well all the top racers are pretty modest given their abilities. You want to see real arrogance, check out what Shaun Palmer has talked over the years.
I must outride the course quite alot then seeing as I crash too.. Or does Sam crash for other reasons? Or did I get the complete wrong end of the stick?Sam was just going TOO fast and lost it. Bike technology hasnt caught up to his speed yet! Seriously, he is always pinned and I think he just outrides the course sometimes. Lots of pressure when youre one of the best!
Oh yesman, all you Sam Hill h8ters are weird. enjoy it for what it is: downhill mountain bike racing.
anyways, here's a vid of the Giant Slalom: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/us-open-giant-slalom-video-2010.html
Lookin' forward to Fort Bill...
had to catch a flight.so why didnt Gee show up for the podium? i saw him talking to the Red Bull chicks when the announcer was babbling on and after i turned around, he was gone.

I thought Cameltoe spandex demin was the new jean shorts. What gives with those girls and their modest attire??gotcha.
i guess hitting on the semi-hot red bull chicks was a priority
He was easily one of the top 5 fastest through the toyota rock garden.awesome pics, i cannot get over the fact richy rude got 9th and lost in chain BEFORE the step up!??. My friend said he came outta the woods w/ his derailur hanging off the bike.

sicklines kills it again with another great video.Finals video finally up: http://www.sicklines.com/tv/us-open-2010-qualifications-and-finals/
thanks Sicklines!
that was a really cool line. It got me wondering though: no one else hit it. Was it really faster overall? I couldn't really tell, but it looked like he needed to bleed off a lot of speed in order cut inside like that. Even though the exit was smoother, did it really save time overall?i didnt think Brendan would take that line for the finals. i saw him hit it a few times in practice and the main middle lines as well
You also run the risk of colliding with one of the spectators clowning around over there, not expecting anyone to take that line, though it looked at least as quick as the other fast guys through there.that was a really cool line. Of all the womyn, Mosely looked the smoothest over that line...
I liked that edit showing the top three taking the same line.
