Unless, you need your shattered leg put back together....I don't have a lot of faith in western medicine..D
Measleswell you and I just have 2 different belief systems...I don't have a lot of faith in western medicine....As a kid I was never vaccinated because of my moms religion...I followed suit with my son and neither of us have ever come down with anything....D
And I'm almost certain that Buddha would not recommend acting retardedly when it comes to things like vaccinations. Buddha was no idiot...Unless, you need your shattered leg put back together.
Buddah's not too dialed on orthopedic surgery.![]()
I'm saying if vaccinations to prevent needless deaths are readily available and they don't vaccinate their children then yes, they are idiots.so are you saying people who don't follow western medicine are idiots???...that's more than half the world...D
when it comes to vaccinations, yes.so are you saying people who don't follow western medicine are idiots???...that's more than half the world...D
People who don't follow reason and logic based on research, history and evidence are idiots.so are you saying people who don't follow western medicine are idiots???...that's more than half the world...D
props for getting your daughter the HPV vaccine. just like abstinence isn't good birth control despite the best intentions, withholding the HPV vaccine won't change behavior patterns. (and giving it will prevent some horrible and very preventable cancers!)And one ofthe bigger issues is with most of those disease is since there are vaccines for them that once you get said disease there really is not a lot they can do for you. ( Toshi tell me if I'm wrong with that one )
Heck I even got my daughter the New Controversial One for cervical Cancer.
[whisper][/img]? your fingers are quicker than the noggin in this caseA friend of a friend of my wife just died last week from [whisper]CANCER[/img]. She refused treatment and relied entirely on prayer.
At least it was over quick I guess.......
What do you mean "this" case?<snip>

And of course since it is controversial , my health insurance wouldn't pay for it .props for getting your daughter the HPV vaccine. just like abstinence isn't good birth control despite the best intentions, withholding the HPV vaccine won't change behavior patterns. (and giving it will prevent some horrible and very preventable cancers!)
What I was trying to say is that most of these disease have no real cure , and since they have a vaccine to prevent them there is no money or time going into find a cure for them.i'm not sure what you're referring to with the first paragraph.not saying it's not true, i'm just not familiar with that.
lol...couldn't be more wrong!!....Dand I'd be willing to bet that 99.9999% of that half of the world , would relish the opportunity for western medicine.
I wont send you bad rep, but i give it to you here:lol...couldn't be more wrong!!....D
Is it that hard to believe that there are other systems out there that work for people?...the arrogance in this thread is amazing...D- Religion and/or ignorance is bliss i suppose, but makes for bad medicine.![]()

It's not arrogance, I'm afraid. Measles kill over 200 THOUSAND people a year. And guess what? People who get the measles vaccine DON'T get the measles. Is it that hard to believe that there are other systems out there that work for people?...the arrogance in this thread is amazing...D
I was not referring to any ONE person...just reading through the posts and realizing that many believe that only one system works...that's all...I for one chose to not to live in fear...but to each his own...DIt's not arrogance, I'm afraid. all that crap works just fine as long as it isnt you or your family member that is seriously sick/injured because when it is... you want the right to have the finest western medical care money can buy, not some voodoo mumbo jumbo. Is it that hard to believe that there are other systems out there that work for people?...the arrogance in this thread is amazing...D

If the human immune system was polio proof, there would be no use for the polio vaccine.I was not referring to any ONE person...just reading through the posts and realizing that many believe that only one system works...that's all...I for one chose to not to live in fear...but to each his own...D
you're being just as irrational as Knuckleslammer. choosing not to believe in communicable disease doesn't make it not exist.I was not referring to any ONE person...just reading through the posts and realizing that many believe that only one system works...that's all...I for one chose to not to live in fear...but to each his own...D

We have been without a Voice of Reason far too long.... I nominate Toshi.you're being just as irrational as Knuckleslammer. choosing not to believe in communicable disease doesn't make it not exist.
I never said I believe that only 1 system works , but Looking at the numbers , before the polio vaccine how many people were struck down with it ?many believe that only one system works......
Sorry to hear about your baby...I think every person has to make a decision for themselves..If I were in your position I don't know how I would behave. I could guess but wouldn't really know until it was a reality for me....and I never said anything about subscription to one only belief. I merely stated there are other methods out there.
Why can't you "believe" in them all?
If your woman was pregnant, would you want to give birth naturally, without drugs or any medical intervention?
We've been going to midwives for the past 8 months. Our baby is breech, so we've been going to a VERY recommended chiropractor and accupunturist. It's not working. We LOVE alternative medicine. We already have a Naturopath doctor lined up for our baby (and a recommended pediatrician too).
It's not working, baby's still breech. We'll keep trying, but time's running out and we've already scheduled the c-section.
Why can't you 'believe' in everything that might work? We'll raise our kid as naturally and organically as possible, but to ignore the factual data on what does work is illogical. (why I'm educating myself)
Lastly, your anecdotal, tiny sample size group of success from your family is just not valid enough to draw any conclusions.
i fundamentally disagree with you on this. You and I have had different life experiences...so I don't expect you to believe the same as me...people can chose their own realities...
