Up since 3:30, back to sleeplessness lately. Fark. I guess I'll make coffee.

I needed a new bb, i think I got the wrong one. PF standards can bite me.

Good news campers! Helmets work. I was treated for a concussion classified as MTBI and Cervical Spine Strain otherwise known as whiplash. I should be back on the bike in 2 weeks or less pending follow up at the outpatient clinic to ensure there are no torn ligaments. Not too happy about missing a kick ass ride with @Montana rider and @rideit

HI FRIENDS! lol holy shit.

I ran 5 miles on the high school track this morning. After a hard bike ride last night, my legs weren't really having any part of that run. Beautiful morning though. 55 crisp degrees.

A new MGM casino opens a block from my office this morning. This usually quiet city is hopping at 8:00 AM. Roads are closed and people are everywhere. Not used to this.

Fuck me. had to slam on the brakes twice on the way to work this morning to avoid getting killed by two idiots that ran red lights at speed. I mean my green light had been green for 3 or 4 seconds and we were rolling out of the stop when those asshole barreled through at 40 plus on the first one, the second one I had a left turn light from one expressway to another and a dipshit blew the red and turned right in front of traffic at 50mph and shot across 5 lanes causing 3 of us to lock it up. today is going to seriously suck...

so tired. a full week back at work after three weeks off is a shock to the system. ugh. doesn't help that my kids are losing their minds right now. not sure what that's all about, maybe they are so far off their routine that they're going feral. school starts next week, looking forward to that.

I have no idea where I am
2 hours of climbing wtf
Minimum of a one hour climb to get to any of the good stuff in Pisgah.

The last part of the climb up to Farlow is only a couple miles but is so steep and rutted it takes about an hour and twenty minutes. But the 40 minute climb before isn’t too bad at all.

Back in the day the dirt road wasn’t gated. Now if you want to ride one of the gnarliest trails in the country, you have to earn it.

Spent my birthday in NYC with a couple of my college friends. We are good food, drank good whiskey and saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts 1&2. Shows were incredible and most of the leads were the original London cast (bonus). Neil Patrick Harris & his husband and kids were there as was Tom Felton (the original Draco Malfoy in the movies) so that was cool too. Home
Now and working on the solar panel for he pool (had to mill some boards for building). Supposed to ride tonight and meet up with BadDNA and mudgrl for a ride tomorrow. Kids will be home from camping with my folks Sunday so we need to capitalize on he no kids schedule a bit for the next two days!

I hit some loose rock on a plank bridge, flipped and landed on the crown of my head, rolled onto my left shoulder and landed on my back about 10 feet down the hill. It knocked the wind out of me and took me 2 or 3 minutes to get it back. I finished the ride with just muscle pain but decided to go to the hospital when I woke up with an intense headache and waves of nausea.
