Everyone says their bike is lighter than it is. My Yeti AS-X weighs 39lbs in real life, with 6" of travel front and rear. My Specialized SX is just under 32, and the Bontrager is at 24. What is the point of this thread?

My 02.5 Fly weighed 45 with a lot of lighter parts. I sure hope my 06 Fly is closer to 40. I just dont see how you guys get your bikes under 40 without running single ply tires and wimpy rims.

Oh come on now Kanter, we've had these discussions last year and we both were looking to shed a few pounds. Hence the king max wheels and ti springs. :D
My Karp is capable of being under 40 with an avy, right now it sits right at 40lbs.
Aint no scrappy parts on it!
AVY! AVY! AVY! AVY! (Sorry had to throw that in there.)

I did all I could to my Fly and couldn't get it under 44.

How are you weighing your bikes? I use a digi fish scale that is pretty accurate up to 50 lbs

My v10 is 39lbs. If I dropped the diablos cranks and added a ti coil I'd save atleast 1.5-2 more pounds.

I dunno how much my bike weighs, because I don't care about it.

If I had to guess, I'd say the mid forties, with absolutly no attempts at weight savings

i have no idea.....none.....

Too heavy if you ask me though, I need to reduce some weight, but that would require lots of money to replace parts that have a lot of life left on them.

Right now I need to focus on paying bills, eventually I get rid of the weight.... I guess

Mines around 41, but I really don't know. It's strong enough that I don't have to worry about it but light enough that I don't have to worry about it. Plus it didn't cost me a fortune.

My 05' yakuza kamichu weighs in at 46.5, but that has some heavier parts on it. Michelin 2.8" front tire, shivers in front, etc. Its quite the boat anchor.

except if it's a hardtail. then they add 5 pounds.

i really have no idea, but i guessed in the 42-45 range. it might be more than 45# though, esp w/ the monster T back on it.

That's about what mine weighs. Somewhere in the 40's with no attempt to save weight. Well, except for my carbon headset spacers. I might go back to the aluminum ones though as the bike feels to light and flimsy with the carbon ones. :p

When built, my Nuke was in the low 50s...I think 52 or so. I'm hoping to bring it down to 45lbs by some miracle this year.
