my car takes me to the hill/trailhead...need something reliable. If there is ONE place you dont want to break down, its on the way to N* after Auburn. Its only 2 years old and has over 45 thousand miles on it. Also its not like I ride a super luxurious car.buildyourown said:What about your car?

My jeans go through stages.
1: Good, dinner-out jeans.
2: Good enough for class jeans.
3: My girlfriend has taken notice jeans.
4: Biking jeans.
5: Painting jeans.
6: Daisy-dukes.
Another smart thing to do is buy jeans that are as dark as possible that way it takes longer for them to get to that 80's acid-wash-white colour.

Avids are post mount, same as hayes. The adapters are interchangeableDS Dom said:Also, what adaptor are you using for your avids? Im running maguras and im trying to find out if in need a 6" adaptor or an 8" adaptor
You dont need a bed when you dont ever sleep... Oh and dont even bother to quote something from a movie or TV show to Luc... he just wont get it.... haha.Acadian said:I don't even have a Television, Never had cable television ever and heck I don't have a bed, etc...
Thanks...What color did you order? Hope you get her!DS Dom said:Sweet ride luc... mine should be here sometime this week.
A couple of questions.
yes. I got both an FSA and Truvativ. Decided to get one as a backup - but the FSA is considerably lighter than the Truvativ.DS Dom said:What size bb does it use? 83x128??
I have both 185 and 203 rotors - I think I'm just going to use 203 for now (front and rear). if it ends up being too much power on the back, I might try the 185, but I doubt I'll have to switch.DS Dom said:Also, what adaptor are you using for your avids? 83x128mm - got it from an OEM dealer. (don't ask )Salami said:Is the FSA you have 83x128mm or 85x133mm? FSA told me they only sell the 83x128mm OEM and all of the distibutors I checked only have the 85x188mm.
The FSA 85x133 BB actually measures up to a 130mm spindle. This will work 100% fine. This is what is currently in my bike and is what the Mad Catz team ran all last season. This BB is being phased out and being replaced with the 83x128.Salami said:Is the FSA you have 83x128mm or 85x133mm? When I talked to FSA they said they would get the 83x128 later on but that only IH has received them in the US.Salami said:Is the FSA you have 83x128mm or 85x133mm? FSA told me they only sell the 83x128mm OEM and all of the distibutors I checked only have the 85x188mm.
Luc, do you know how much lighter? I was going to get the Truvativ but if the weight savings are enough I will get the FSA.Acadian said:but the FSA is considerably lighter than the Truvativ.
I wonder who that is??Acadian said:83x128mm - got it from an OEM dealer. (don't ask )
I know. The shop I am getting my frame from ordered them back in January.CBJ said:Salami you can get the Truvative Giga Pipe directly from Truvative in 83x128 that is where I got mine.

Yea, I understand how the avid mounts work. My question was basically wondering if you use a 6" adaptor for 8" brakes, or if you use the standard 8" adpator. I know some DH bikes space the mounts out more so that you dont need a huge adaptor when runnin 8" brakes.Acadian said:I have both 185 and 203 rotors - I think I'm just going to use 203 for now (front and rear). if it ends up being too much power on the back, I might try the 185, but I doubt I'll have to switch.
I was thinking the same thing. Not the old "looks flexy" but it does look like it should be a little more beefy. What do i know anyway, I want some ride reports.BadFastard said:Specially the 2 vertical struts, they're not linked near the linkage on top, and in the bottom they're connected to this little cnc bit with seemingly tiny welds. The chainstays seem burly allright, but is the whole rear end laterally stiff?
3oz, eh? I may have to get the FSA then.Acadian said:FSA BB = 340g

I gained a bit this winter - I'm just a tad shy of 155lbs now.Salami said:I have a combo set up question that both you and Ska Todd can probably help with.
Luc what weight springs are you going to run front and rear? If I remember correctly you weigh about 145lbs, correct?
I weigh a bit more at 155lbs plus clothes, armor, Camelback, helmet, etc. I am guessing I would weigh in about 170lbs total. What combo of springs should I run (05 Boxxer Team and 17" Sunday)?
I am thinking I MAY be need to use 250lb spring in the rear and will probably need to change one spring to Soft spring in the Boxxer. What do you think?
Also is RCS the only company that has a 3.0" by 250lb spring? If so I guess I would HAVE to buy a Ti spring.
I am trying to sort out the spring rates by the first week of May and I don't even have it yet.
TWO? Is the 155 with all your gear?Acadian said:I gained a bit this winter - I'm just a tad shy of 155lbs now.
My 2005 BoXXer is set up with 2 Silver (soft) springs.
