I keep my super secrets to myself. The solution is clear. Burn the place down.
so how do you buy stuiff?Bike shops should not allow the gays to buy stuff.
I'm fairly sure Julie would complain that I do too much to help people out, but I had somewhere to go.Sounds to me like you handled it perfectly fine.
I used to work for a small retail store as well (for seven years). If a customer was lingering past closing time, I'd politely tell them we're closing up and ask them how I could help them. I never had to wait much more than an extra 15-30 minutes. If you can't handle an occasional 15-30 minute delay to help a customer and the business you're working for, don't work in retail. If you're late for something and tell the person you were tied up with a customer, they'll understand. **** them if they don't.
Did him saying let me inspect your "car" tip you off???Let me guess you work on cars?
Reinforcements where needed? :huh:In nothing else, my thread helps reinforce that n8 is an idiot douche bag.
The problem with the sliding price scale is that it is discriminatory. Rules are easy to follow and they apply equally, like closing time is 7pm.You think there is something wrong with charging a PITA asshole customer more? Why? If everybody made assholes pay for being assholes maybe they wouldn't be assholes as often.
Well, you are an asshole, but it's not like it's hard to help either. If a section of a store is closed, but it's something simple like that, it's easy to help. I don't see the need in getting whacked out. (crap - I forgot the smiley. Sorry, Steve)The problem with the sliding price scale is that it is discriminatory. But who knows what is the reason why customers can be aholes. Recently, I went to a Safeway deli counter about 30 minutes after the counter closed. I was craving chicken salad and the tray was still sitting in the front counter right underneath the scale.
I asked the kid running the counter to help me and he told me asininely, "Counter is closed". I didn't like his attitude, so I complained for 5 minutes to his manager until he helped me. It took a total of 10 seconds for him to serve me a container of chicken salad.
I am sure that kid, who got himself worked up to the breaking point instead of helping me, thinks I am an asshole. I came after closing and demanded help. I see it differently, of course.
So should someone discriminate against a customer because they think he is an asshole?
Truth!People, who love people...
When I was in business I always erred on the side of cash. You never know exactly what but everything you do today will make or break your tomorrow.
I wouldn't disagree. I gave that kid a ton of crap but in my nice voice so it really confused him.Well, you are an asshole, but it's not like it's hard to help either. I was going to give you a real hard time for knowing about such a horrible movie as that, but then realized that I know what movie you're talking about. It's like I should follow them around like f*#King Dolly Parton in "9-5" like I am their f*#king secretary. No thanks.
Me too, but for vastly larger reasons.9 to 5 is a ****ing classic. Dolly Parton, now that's a feminist I can relate to.
I have to agree with him on this one...it's just poor business practice as well as potentially opening you up to a lawsuit...DYes, charging them more I do. Asking them to just please leave and take their business elsewhere, no. Do they charge me less if I'm overly nice and polite as a customer? If they put a surcharge on asshole, what about stupid? Then what, let's charge blacks more, or women more?
Dude, I don't know where you live, but I have abso****inglootley HAVE to come riding and drinking with you!Me too, but for vastly larger reasons.
Unless you're Toshi...I respect people's time enough to not even go into a shop within 5-10 minutes of closing. Its a bike shop, whatever I need can wait until later - it is not like my children are going to starve because I couldn't buy that tube today.
well, since he has no automobile, it's a looooooooooong ride back home.Unless you're Toshi...
this happens to us daily. our hours are 9:30 - 7 on weekdays. we rarely close at 7 because people come in regardless of whether the auto-sliding doors are on or off. seriously, i've had people slide the doors open themselves in order to come in. it's ****ing annoying. ****ers have no respect for our time. last night was horrible. we had 3 customers walk in at 10 after 7. 1 bought a bike. the other 2 took up sales staff time and walked out with nothing at 7:45. one of those guys came up to my tent last weekend at an even and that the balls to say "we're not here for the race, but do you have any coupons to hand out?" what the ****?So, some folks come in as I am wrapping the day up
Am I an asshole because I just got done with a ride after 8pm and I wanted something to eat?I wouldn't have helped you. See it IS easy to help you. But if I help you after the counter is closed then I have to help the next asshole who walks up late too. And on and on.
You make a good point...I would have told him the same thing. "Sorry we're closed" end of story...stores keep certain hours for a reason...and complaining to the manager about something so simple trying to get this kid in trouble just makes Sanjuro an even bigger @sshole.....DI wouldn't have helped you. See it IS easy to help you. But if I help you after the counter is closed then I have to help the next asshole who walks up late too. And on and on.
Well, the next time you want something very simple but the person who has to help you decides not to lift the smallest finger because it wasn't his job, don't complain. You make a good point...I would have told him the same thing. Don't try and change it around...you didn't get helped because the person was lazy it was because they were closed...CLOSED!! It's a pretty simple concept...DWell, the next time you want something very simple but the person who has to help you decides not to lift the smallest finger because it wasn't his job, don't complain.
f'ing persiansWell, the next time you want something very simple but the person who has to help you decides not to lift the smallest finger because it wasn't his job, don't complain.
Remember, 10 seconds it took to make a customer happy. 10 seconds. You and Laura must be on your high horses if you think I was being unreasonable.
