    Steve Peat Sydicate

I completely agree with W4S. what's the downside to having more people involved, regardless of their skill level? this is a great idea.

degreaser and brush in Boxxer lowers?

during the course of my normal oil change, is it OK to use a degreaser and large pipe-cleaner to clean out the lowers? the SRAM site suggests spraying alcohol and using a rag, but I'd like to do something a bit more thorough. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't damage anything.

    Race run help?

(no offense ;)) but your problem is mental. if you are consistently faster in practice than "when it counts", that's purely mental. someone suggested focusing on the internal conversation. that's a great way to build consistency from practice to race and help your mind forget that the race...

    what size tires

My two favorite tires are the Maxxis Minion and Kenda Nevegal at those same parks. I like the 2.5" in both, though the Nevegal runs a bit wider than the Minion.

LOL, if you think the Diablo forum was keeping ridemonkey afloat you're insane.

    Accomodation/suggestions 8/26 - 8/30

Another strong vote for black creek. Rooms are top notch and affordable. Only down side is the distance from the lift. You'll probably want to drive up to the base parking area. Not a big deal.

    Trail repair?

there's probably a lot of stuff being done to maintain the mountain that we'll never know about.

I need to stop watching videos!!

absolutely agree! this is money VERY well spent. A+. there are some skills you just can't know unless someone tells/shows you how and why. saddle time is obviously critical, but this video is awesome for putting the right ideas in your head. they also give you drills you can do in your...

    New video from last tuesday

Thank you! Diablo should pay you guys for doing this. Say "diablo" to anyone outside the area and they think of three big table tops, berms and a couple wall rides. your video will be so much more interesting than anything out there today.

    future of diablo

I agree. I also think a lot of you guys need to spend time on the "forgotten" trails. My hope is that they do cut a few old school downhill trails.

    south peak.

yes, its very similar to Diablo in that respect. not the biggest mountain, but the number of runs/day more than makes up for it. lots of fun.

    Katography 10/18/08

Kat - great shots. Hope you'll be up there next Sunday. Guys...the lack of a berm before the Tempest rock drop is what makes it fun. Master the flat land turn and you'll be just fine. These pics are funny (no offense to the riders). the second guy is in big trouble!
