its for 31.8 only I think. I really like it. Theres a reason that pro riders are using 5mm spacers under their direct mounts. They like to tweak their bar heights for different courses and such.
not going to make the world of difference, but still better than other stems.
totally. love their stuff. it's WAY cleaner than other adjustable stems that have extra mounting holes that hang over. always hated that. plus you get the nice bonus of vertical adjustment too :thumb: and holy crap thats light.
Both, im running the aluminum studs on the inside (closest to the crank arm) and the steel studs on the outside, to the hold up to rock impacts. it been working perfectly!
probably better to put my comment on this thread...
so my only concern is that the axle is really venerable on the canfields it looks like you either already hit (or almost hit) the axle on a rock. That doesn't seem very safe if you put a gash in the axle. if it starts to rust and/or fatigue...

do you have polished or painted bars?
Both me and my buddy have the nickel DM's with no issues. We both have shot-penned bars though. maybe its the slicker bar surface too?
same here. I own both the direct mount and standard version ALL with ti hardware, and now issues. About a year one the DM and 6 months on the standard. I would rock it! they make great stuff.
As for ti bolts, there are a few different grades available. If you get cheap ti, then you can run into...
exactly right. I didn't think that it would make that much of a difference either.
But when demo'd the point one pedals, I practically never hit them. only a few light skims, never a smack. I used to destroy MG1's. which is why i used them, because they were so cheap, and it didnt matter But...
