Made the mistake of trying to head down chimney heading to north table today.
Luge track is an understatement above windy saddle. Didn't clear up until we were out of the trees on the lower half. It took 1hr15mins to descend what normally takes 15 minutes with hiker stops.
Then I hit a rock hard enough on north table it bent my bashguard stopping me from using the lower half of my cassette to get to apex.
Fun times for another 25 miles and 3800 ft though.
For any history nerds out there, the ruins in that first photo are part of the "Carbide Willson" Ruins. He commercialized a process to make carbide, which he sold to a US syndicate that eventually became Union Carbide (of Bhopal Disaster infamy).

Yeap. We rode on Saturday and it was windy as fook. Great day for dodging all the assholes with their off leash dogs.
Had a great ride with the trail pup. Stuff is starting to green up and the woods are getting pretty again.
Had a great ride with the trail pup. Shit is already dusty and the trails are full of pebbles and marbles. All the spring smells were out.
This is a picture I drew of my last ride in Kincaid Park. The lines are my route around and around the trails where foreigners get lost in a never-ending loop, the loop is directional based on whether it's an even or odd day. I most likely under-represented the number of moose standing on the trail.
I'm assuming the green wrist band means an immediate, post Emergency Room, celebratory ride was in order.
