Does anyone know what happened to Versus Cycles??

I need a replacement part for a Versus Trigger frame, and have been trying to contact them, but never got a reply to any of the emails or telephone messages I've left on their answer machine...
Have they gone bust...
I need to buy a new set of wheels, and I got thinking about hubs, and flange spacing in particular.
In most hubs the flanges are spaced out in such a way that the rim will not be in the middle of both flanges, but closer to one of them.
I came across some hubs that have the flanges...
Does anyone have any experience with eccentric BB on jump bikes?
I know they are often used by the XC singlespeeders (strange breed) but not sure if can withstand DJ/street abuse.
Thanks
Better make sure your chain doesn't brake :)
It does make sence to remove more weight from the rear wheel, but surely fitting any decent size rotor in the G-Boxx (with an appropriate guard no to burn/slice your leg) that clears everything is a tricky task.
Also won't long term hub (the...
DHer, maybe you should make a reference to where you lifted the pics and text from :bonk:

Any ideia what would come out of a face-off between the G-Boxx 9spd vs V-Boxx (9spd)?
On paper the V-Boxx as...
It is intentional for the chain to spin during coasting enabling gear changes when not pedalling, under braking etc.
And yes, some friction due to that is the price to pay. One can always use a different hub to avoid that, but I'm sure the benefits of gear changes with no pedalling are worth...
I read that blog before (the tech talk link) but it doesn't actually say what the G-boxx2 consists of (just what it doesn't - an internal gear hub as the previous version).
So that means that there are two fundamentally different gearboxes following the same standard. Any idea of the pro and...
Everyone in Europe seems to be going gearbox crazy (nicolai, knox, alutech, Solid bikes, MSC, Be one, RB, MBK), but how about in the US?
There is talk in another forum of Santa Cruz having a gearbox frame. Does anyone know anything that substanciates this?
Those CAD pics of the orange...
Didn't think about the more rigid steel uppers on DJ's transfering more stress to the crown and that being the reason for crown failure. Makes sence, and why they when for aluminium uppers after that.
I think I narrowed it down to either the new Fox DJ or the tunned Z1 Sport.
The Z1 Sport...
Do you mean the 36Talas? Would it not be a "waste" for DJ? It costs a fortune and you would never use anything else other than the minimum travel setting (110mm, max-150mm).
